The Dhawle group is very well founded in Mumbai and have taken over 2-3 hospitals from the Bombay Municipal cooperation and running them as homeopathic hospitals. Dr. Praful BArvalia was working with them for many years before he started his own foundation for the underpriveledged. HE continues on their board of trustees. What is exciting about this programme is to see the developement of homeopathic managment (and its protcols) as the MAINSTAY of treatment in a well run and well equipped hospital where the contribution of Modern Medicine remains only supportive. This could well be the foundation protocol for homeopathic hospitals all over the world - based on very clear moral ethics. More details on all this will appear in the September and October Issues of the Hpathy Ezine - do suscribe and await their release. Warm regards, dr. leela ICR GROUP OF ORGANIZATIONS Organize Intensive Training Program 2007 Objectives 1. Experiential learning of Standardized Homoeopathic Practice. 2. Dhawale Memorial Trust (MLDT) was established in 1987 to carry on the work of Dr. M. L. Dhawale, an eminent Homoeopathic clinician, educationist and a compassionate human being. The MLDT’s health care services motto is: “Where no doctor reaches, we will reach. Where patients cannot afford costly services, we will try to provide at minimum costs”. The MLDT has at its core the mission of promoting positive health in a cost effective manner. This is not an easy task considering the curative paradigm of health that still dominates most of the current practices. The Positive concept of Health as enunciated by the WHO takes us far beyond the Curative and Preventive aspect of Disease to the Promotive aspect of Health. Thus we are no longer confining ourselves to seeing the realization of this concept through the efforts of the medical community alone. It has multiple dimensions in which the involvement of the community has assumed paramount importance. MLDT has been engaged in Homoeopathic education, clinical services, research and community health for over 15 years. It functions on the principle of tricoordinate care – patient care, learner care and knowledge care propounded and deeply imbibed by the founder. The Trust has strived to realize this essential teaching through its various activities: •Patient care through the various service outlets in the urban as well as rural areas •Learner care through its seven major educational activities; and •Knowledge care through its research projects (accredited by the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi). Rural Homoeopathic hospital, Palghar The Rural Homoeopathic hospital, Palghar established on 16th January 2000 has completed 6 years of its operations. It has become the biggest multi-specialty hospital in the Palghar-Vikramgadh belt catering to the need of socially & economically underprivileged sections of the society.
