Hello, my niece (21 yrs old) was at a farm show on Saturday with a very sick
calf (diarrhea), Sunday morning she herself came down with vomiting and diarrhea. Monday night she went to the emergency room and was given fluids for dehydration and sent home with anti-emetics and immodium. The vomiting has subsided but the diarrhea remains (I told her to stop the immodium to let this "bug" get out of her body). I don't think this is just a stomach bug and a coincidence - could she have caught something from the sick calf and what do you recommend (my first thought was arsenicum - but she is away at college and without remedies - she is coming home this weekend). Thanks in advance for any replies. Patty |

It very possibly is - its a good one to consider But Arsenicum depends on other symptoms too Chilly, restless, anxious, very thirsty and more........... So all of that has to fit too, for the most part. Hi Patty,
How is she feeling by now? As a stop-gap measure for the diarrhea, perhaps charcoal tablets could help? Or maybe a good, high-potency probiotic? Until you have a chance to treat by the symptoms (if necessary)?
