A friend's son (age 8), is visiting relatives in Monsey, NY (about 30 miles north of NYC), for an extended period (he is from Germany), he has had an adverse to a single polio vaccination (no other vaccinations) and wishes to avoid any further poisonings, but the NY Health Dept. requires a complete set of vaccinations to attend school...Does anyone know of a homeopathic physician in the general area, or one who would be willing to certify that further vaccinations would be harmful to the child's health?

If the doctor who saw him after his bad reaction gives this information to the US doctor, I would think that *any* local doctor would be agreeable?

Also looking at www.nvic.org, under the "state-by-state exemptions", I read:

That might be another possibility.

I don't know which of these are in the right part of the state, tho. There are of course many other homeopaths in New York, but these are the MDs I see on the list--but again, I would think that *any* MD would write the excuse, given that he's already had a bad reaction, wouldn't they?

There is an Anthroposophical medical center associated with the Green Meadow Waldorf School in this area. Contact the school at http://www.gmws.org/ for more info.

The docs there are MDs and do not vaccinate.

Monsey, NY is known for it's large Hassidic Jewish community and is next to Spring Valley, NY which has a large Rudolf Steiner Anthroposopical community.

There are 3-4 board certified anthroposophical MD's listed at http://www.spiritworking.org/dir/list.htm in the area.

Inquiries into both communities could uncover info how to avoid vaccinations in NY state where there is current legislative activity for religious and physician prevail exemptions

I live about 15 minutes from Monsey. My children are not vaccinated and I have not had a problem with the school district as my lawyer wrote a religious exemption for us.
