Loads of cases of back pain...
Kali carb for a patient who was somewhat resistant to a new 'change management' policy in her place of work. Berberis for a patient with a history of kidney stones. Rhus tox for a patient who overstretched while moving house furniture. Nux vom for a short tempered bastard with haemorrhoids. Calc carb for a patient who caught a chill. Gelsemium for a patient who also had the flu. Hypericum for a patient who fell on her coccyx several years prior. Depends on what the individual nature of the pain is, and where the seat of disease lies. Chris Last edited by jonh; 2nd September 2005 at 09:01 PM. |

I would always find it extraordinary if anyone says that Homeopathy (on it's own) isn't suitable for treating back pain. Many cases, many cures :-)

I listened to some tapes of a talk that Dr. Saine gave (in the late 90s I think) on depression. As I understood him, he said that he had found that a remedy that fitted and relieved a patient's chronic back pain would also clear their depression.
I know that, as a layperson, I am greatly over-simplifying, however, that has certainly seemed to be the case with my bipolar depression/back pain. Cimicifuga certainly deeply affects both for me. Teresa Last edited by jonh; 2nd September 2005 at 09:02 PM. |

Hi Shannon!
Apis 30c came to my rescue after months of chronic, right-sided sciatica which virtually had me grounded. I felt so much better after one dose of Apis that I went for a long walk in the Berkeley Hills to celebrate. I did require further doses to completely dispel the pain. It's one of my most successful homeopathic stories! Best to you, Sati Last edited by jonh; 2nd September 2005 at 09:03 PM. |

Hello Shannon
Kali Carb has done wonders for me, Colocynth cleared out agonising sciatic pain within 24 hours after weeks of pain and no relief from an osteopath. I have seen Phosphorous help, and Bellis Perennis too. At some stage during the beginning of homoeopathic treatment, I realised that the residual pain and symptoms from an epidural and lumber puncture has gone. Wonderful stuff eh? Love and peace Caroline :-) Last edited by jonh; 2nd September 2005 at 09:04 PM. |

Treatment for back pain depends on what the individual nature of the pain is, what are the cause and where the seat of disease is.Better One should consult a good homoeopath for the ailment.Along with that as per my experience taking minimum three ltrs. of water a day and Mag. phos a Biochemic tissue salt makes difference.Try to eradicate gastric problems if u have so that the pain will be less. There are several cases of cure.

While this isn't homeopathic, I've experienced wonderful pain relief (sciatica) from a form of physical therapy known as the "McKenzie Method." It is intended to keep the pain from returning.
