Default RE: Cobra bite what remedy

for what it is worth to anyone, here is an expert from Volume 1 of Dr. Parimal Banerji's Materia medica

concerning his father Dr. Pareshnath Banerji, and a snake bite cure

"His devoted service in the Missionary spirit and talent and ability to cure, soon attracted a huge number of patients in hundreds even from very far off parts of the vast Indian Country to this remote Village of Mihijam which was connected to the main railway line of this country. The population of this village was within only three hundred. He invented a proprietory medicine Lexin which was the sure cure for snake-bite of any kind which were cent per cent fatal. This was in 1916. He patented it in 1918 and became very famous. The medicine is still manufactured and sold."

-------------------------------------------

I do not know of this remedy other than he mentioned it at a seminar, however on searching found the following link to a pharmacy that provides it.

Dear Diane

Thanks for your post but the little girl is all well no more effects of the cobra.

Regards Alcohol and rattlesnakes; the people that drink lots of alcohol and go hiking here in the mountains and come across these type snakes will get a bigger chance of getting bit than the ones that do not drink alcohol and hike. The rattlesnakes seem to like the smell or sensation of the alcohol in humans.

gina,

I avoid speaking my mind on this forum - as I have no time for arguements.

I have found you to be reasonable and understanding and so this post is for you.

do NOT attempt to treat snake bites with homeopathy. that's not safe and correct. probably, it does not work to save the life either.

I would suggest that the healer / first aider / doctor be aware (I mean- well trained) of the incision-torniquet approach IMMIDIATELY (within seconds of the bite, if possible). identify the snake and/or remember it's features and take the patient to a hospital / where the particular anti snake venom and other supportive measures are available. this should be taken as an absolute emergency.

please do not be misled by ideas that any homeo remedy / herb given by a priest or a snake charmer can act as a life saver after a bite / preventive of snake bite.

waiting for some priestcraft ritual to take effect may be risky / superstition.

please note that I am not against homeopathy and have no doubts about it's powers. hope, you like some others, will not start an arguement on this.

I too have heard about hindu rituals / tantra etc. - but as a healer, this is not what I would recommend / suggest / prescribe.

hope this helps you and all others.

with love and best wishes for that girl in bali. may she be happy and healthy.

Default Dr Agarwala

Dear Dr. Agarwala
The little girl is at home in a remote village, her parents will not allow her to go to a hospital.
The owner of the balicrisis care clinic has told me she climed up the hill to this girls house to offer antibiotics and vitamin c (plus she cleaned the wound),that is all that has been done. A snake venom expert from austalia told me the venom prob did not penetrate enough venom to kill her this is why she is still alive. My question is this; for the foot turning black......Lachesis? What do you think.....i dont have direct interaction with the little girl no phones,no computers,no electricity.....so no symptomology for me as the homeopath.
This makes it all even more of a problem,to relay messages criss/crossing this giant planet.
Welcome back by the way............................................... .........

Hi Gina,

There are a number of possible rubrics, e.g.
Extremities, discoloration, black
Skin, discoloration, blackish

But maybe the most relevant is
Skin, gangrene, from traumatic injury: am-m, Anthr(3), arn(2), ars, calen(2), hyper(2), Lach(3), sul-ac(2).

Just looking to see whether Naja (cobra) has anything similar, I see coldness, cramping, discoloration blue / dark / livid / mottled / pale / purple; also motions constant / lost; numbness; paralysis ; perspiration; restlessness; stiffness; swelling; tingling; and etc. I don't see any "black", tho.

Are the parents refusing treatment, or only refusing to have her hospitalized? If you can't get information, your hands may be tied...

Shannon

Thank you robert and shannon
For the post,Im thinking it's also lach. (and since there are a limited amount of hom. remedies there at this clinic this will have to do) A kit of 50 from Washington homeopathics sent via dr. Leea in India ,a kind donation towards this clinic.I will email the clinic and try and get the owner to climb back up that hill and dispense lach. This way no hospital visit will aggravate the girls parents.

Thanks
Gina Tyler

Part two; please read yourself the little girl ended up pretty bad, gangrene set in. www.balicrisiscare.org
on the main page look at the bottom and go to' What a week that was"..........
