Default Fluoride poisoning in N Central Sri Lanka

I would like to have the advice of the members of this Forum to help with a serious problem that is affecting the population in some areas in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. This area is mainly farming country where rice is grown and has a relatively high concentration of Fluoride salts in the water which they draw from their wells. It was reported in the press recently that the incidence of kidney failure in this region is very high and that the death rate has reached 8 to 10 per month. Mortality is highest in the age group above 35 years when they are in their prime and are the breadwinners in their families and their deaths are causing severe distress as the available labour available for farming is slowly decimated.

I have seen some of the children of those living in this area ranging in age from 8 to 15 years and found that their teeth are dark yellow to brown in colour with a distinct line of discolouration about 2mm from the biting surface which is lighter than the area of the teeth next to the gum. I was informed that their teeth break at this dividing line at about age 20 leaving the stumps of the teeth which soon decay. This phenomenon has been ascribed to the reaction that the Fluoride salts have on the children in this area.

I read in a news item some time ago that a similar problem was faced by the population in an area near Bhopal in India where the underground water is contaminated by Arsenic and that Homeopathic Ars Alb had been used successfully to antidote the various health problems caused by the Arsenic in the water, and the population helped.

It occurred to me that there may be a possibility of using a Homeopathic Remedy like Fluor Acid in a similar manner to help antidote the effect of the high content of Fluoride in the drinking water in these areas and would invite the comments of the Homeopaths on this Forum to help solve this serious problem that we are facing today in Sri Lanka.

Treating with a remedy (perhaps fl-ac, but I can't look it up right now) sounds like a good idea for short-term amelioriation, but I seriously doubt that it's a long-term solution. My understanding is that if a maintaining cause (e.g. contaminated drinking water) continues, the effectiveness of remedies against it will become less over time; at some point you simply have to deal with the cause.

A quick google search suggests that distillation is one way to remove fluoride. I have seen instructions for making a very "low-tech" distiller, something involving reflective panels and sloping roof, with energy supplied by the sun. Not as simple as passing out pills, but maybe a necessary part of the answer?

(Is the fluoride from natural sources, or contamination, or is that known?)

Default reply to fluoride

hello some info on fluoride toxin;
www.fluoridealert.org
warnings of its toxins and adverse effects.
I have had one patient here in calif that has had some acute symtoms related to this and gave her Bentonite Clay to swallow with boiled clean water,Daily one spoonfull with a glass of water 3 times per day,within a few days all symptoms of this toxin went away. Bentonite clay absorbs toxins,heavy metals..etc and releases it out via the gut does not deplete the body of minerals as it is loaded with minerals.
more on bentonite clay www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com
go to search type;bentonite clay...................
