I would like to discuss the legal (medicolegal) issues that may arise if a remedy (or placebo) is sent (by courier/post) by me, from india, to a patient in a foreign country. the scenario would be the same, if remedies are sent by a homeopath in US/UK to any other country. the remedy or placebo will be unmarked (without the name or the name of pharmacy/manufacturer) and as such no prescription can be given. only remedy taking guidelines can be sent. I would like to understand the medico leagal issues that may arise in this scenario. is it legally safe to send such unmarked remedies?. I am curious to know about the process followed by other homeopaths in india or abroad that treat foreign clients.I see some websites asking the patients to buy the remedy themselves (and for that they must be revealing the remedy name. I don't know how they handle placebo. do they mention that to the patient ? or do they go into homeopathy philosophy of wait and watch...I don't know) and some websites mention that the remedies are posted from their office. is there any pharmacy that would agree to send the remedies to the patients without revealing the remedy name / placebo ? well, strictly speaking - this issue would apply to all homoeopaths in all countries. we dispense unmarked remedies from our own pharmacies....is there a legal risk there ? I would like to know how this issue is seen in USA /UK. I would like to discuss all aspects of this issue. kindly email me privately at vipassana_infonet@yahoo.co.in best regards, dr manish agarwala Yahoo! India Matrimony: Find your life partneronline. |
