Just got this from Stephen Messer:
Wanted to let you know that Eric Udell, the Clinical Teaching Fellow in Homeopathy here at SCNM who you may remember from his articles in HT as well as his presentation at our conference in Portland last Spring, has been helping the relief efforts in Sri Lanka with Homeopaths without Borders. He has been posting marvelous journal reports on the SCNM Web site every day or two. You can check them out at the following URL http://www.scnm.edu/news/dr_udell_journal.php HWB has been helpful in organizing the trip, but they haven't been able to provide any financial support to this effort. I would love it if any of you chose to support the colleges effort with a tax deductible donation. You can give online and it should be easy to see the link when you are viewing the journal postings. Either way, check them out, they are really interesting and inspiring. It is fun to see how much homeopathy can help in these situations. Dr. Udell is planning on turning these into an article for HT when he returns in a few weeks. All the best, Stephen |

Tsunami update:
HWB sent its first group of volunteer homeopaths to offer tsunami relief: Denis Marier, ND, of Canada; Rene Guarnaluse-Arce, MD, of New York (originally of Cuba); and Dr. Udell of Arizona. They were met in Sri Lanka by HWB's contact person, J.T. DeLivera, a local businessman and strong proponent of homeopathy. A full story about them will appear in the March/pril issue of Homeopathy Today. Just got this from Dr. Guarnaluse: Dear all, A lot has happened since the first official note was sent by Homeopaths 'without Borders North America (HWB-NA) to the list. In a paralel proccess we asked for volunteers and donations to support the work of those who would leave willingly their livelyhoods to help the survivors of the tsunami in Sri Lanka and thanks to the support of our donors, to Eric Udell (see scnm.edu), and to Denis Marier (see denismarier.com) we have had the opportunity to accomplish this work that may go all the way till the end of March (so far). HWB could provide 2 homepathic kits, cover the flights (NY-Sri Lanka) and support the shelter, transportation, meals and translation of us three, from the 11th of February in Colombo and the next day at the Peralya Camp to "open" our homeopathic service in Wellamadda and still in other villages. Up until the 22nd we have offered 421 consultations, clean wounds of many more, also blood glucose levels were determined as part of the intervention for the diabetics of the area. The age groups were: 0-10: 73 11-20: 73 21-30: 54 31-40: 50 41-50: 41 51-60: 59 61-70: 40 71-80: 6 81-90: 2 The remedies we have used so far and their frequencies were: Acon: 3 All. C.:1 Agar.
