When I travel I carry a small cashe of medicdines - I have found that what ever I have will normally look after most acute ailments. If someone has diarrohea, mercury: because that's what I had, bloody does wonders! Headaches? Maybe Sulp, does the job. Whatever someone has, I use polycrests - it could be Bell, Bry, Phyt. or any other polycrest, it does the job beautifully.
What I am trying to say is that Homeopathic remedies are very broad based and the polycrests can look after most ailments - be it a backache, pain in the throat, or travel nausea - no worries, our remedies will do wonders - without really taking a case. When I am travelling and someone comes to me and says that they ate some thing from the station and that they are are feeling nauseous, I give them what I have with me: it could be Led. or Phos or Aloe or Arg nit. it does not matter really, because all of them will look after the immediate problem; and most likely allievate or expunge the ailment. Travelling once from Delhi to Goa, there was an announcement asking if ther were any doctors on board to help one of their cooks who had taken ill with high fever/ague. I happened to have Eurp perf and went through and gave it to him. He recovered, as they said, MAJICALLY - and me and my family got given special food, etc. throughout the journey. Good, Eh? Maisie said that it was really impressive that these old docs could do so much with so little. She then said that given ANY general case of Diarrhea, it has been her experience that Arsenicum alb will be helpful. Maybe a more exact simillimum will clear it faster, but Arsenicum will usually have an effect. And it is this knowledge of "general effects" that the old guys knew so well. I wish I felt the same about my birthing kit. When I'm with a woman in labour and carrying the Helios Kit, I still have at least another 10 remedies with me, "just in case" So far, to be honest, I think that less than 25% of my prescriptions "work." Although when they do, it is so obvious. Except at the last birth, when my client began to slowly bleed. As we were leaving to go to hospital, I did a double check and gave her Ipecac. It was only the next day that it occurred to me that by the time we had got to hospital, despite the doctor removing a large dark clot, she did not bleed any more, even though the scar on her uterus had begun to separate. She lost very little blood at surgery, and with arnica 1M daily for 5 days, she was thrilled that she did not have a single bruise (and she had had a previous caesarean, so had the experience to compare) I was pleased because I watched the surgery, and doctors are rough! During a labour, complaints are "acute" Quote:
