Default Sulphur for skin problem

My 2.5 years old boy has skin problem on his leg since 1.5 years old. I gave him sulphur 12C two times a day. His skin improved after 2 weeks. But not completely healed.I stop the sulphur.

(His skin is always dry with slight wound, because he always scrach his leg)

Half year ago, the skin problem come back, start from the leg. I gave him sulphur 12C two times a day for around 10 days. His skin problem become worse. I gave him sulphur 12C once a week. Now his skin on the leg is red, hot, full of abscsses. Also, wound spread to the thigh and arms.

He still give me the picture of sulphur. I am thinking to lower the potency. I am thinging 6X or 30X. Or, go for Calc.Car.

Can anyone give me advice about this case. What I can do for the next step?

PL

Default skin problem

Dear Teresa,
As I see it, this requires lot of digging up by a Homeopath and painstaking case taking. As a mom, you are too close to see the full picture.

If I were you I will find a good Homeopath. Or if you Know how to take a case, then try it. As I see again, Your description of "skin problem" is too vague a term to be of any use to the list. At a local level, see whether
1. Itching is there or nor
2. Whether pus is there
3. Amel by cold water or by hot water
4. Burning is there or not
5. If there is skin peeling
6. Of what colour is the eruption
7. Location (s)
8. Whether undressing amel or not and also open air
amel or not
9. Any mental symptom associated with the eruption.

Now, THIS IS THE LOCAL PICTURE. Try to find out a remedy which characterizes this picture. If you have Boger's Rep or Boenninghaussen'd Therapeutic pocket book, this work will be a breeze. After the local symptoms subside, Then look for the chronic background. List out all his preferences from thermals like heat or cold amel, sunlight tolerance, food preferences, mental condition and ANY CURIOUS SYMTOM that separates him from others which might be a general symptom or even a physical particular symptom.

The remedy corresponding to this peculiarity will, in most cases be the one that covers all the other CHRONIC SYMPTOMS. At no time mix up the local and chronic symptoms. Local treatment is by a similar which palliates. Chronic treatment is by the Similimum which cures. Most often these two remedies will be related to each other. If you have Boericke or Boger, these relationships can be easily understood.

Regards
Venkat

Default Sul for skin

There are many kinds of Sulphur. The one you use depends on the character of the induividual. Also NEVER wash a case of excema, which hates water , it worsens the condition. Never use wollen clothing. Use cleansing creams with a lanolin base and NO medication.
Sulphur is hot tempered, Pulsatilla is easygoing ..up to a point!. Hepar Sul will often help to absorb surface conditions. Kali Sul has a very wide range of applications with regards to miasmatic conditions .. so yes unless you are prepared to read deeply .. go see a good homeopath. Also if a condition gets better for a while and then comes back , all you have done is to suppress or drive inwards without improving health.
Homeopathy is not easy but is well worth study.. which is rewarding .
