FIVE PHOS is sold in India and maybe abroad as well. Does anyone know if there has been a proving of this. Where can I read up about this, how is it used, what are the symptoms that call for this; is the combination used as a tonic?

It is a bio-combination of five phos tissue remedies--Calc.Phos, Kali Phos, Nat.Phos, Ferrum Phos & Mag.Phos. I don't think that any proving is done on this combination but individual symptoms of all five remedies combined together are just considered. I personally feel that proving of combination is badly needed & should be done as one seprate remedy, accordingly.

For what it's worth, this morning while walking my dog (recently a street dog), I met the Mother Teresa of the stray dogs here in Besant Nagar, Madras who told me that she took care of a dog that had a horrible skin condition. She said that he had polyps on the skin--I'm not clear on what she meant. She would actually take him for some sort of expensive allopathic treatment once a month, but it would always come back. Then she said she started giving him Five Phos (first I had ever of it) every evening, and it cleared up. She advised me to use it with my new dog, saying it would help many problems that street dogs have. But of course I would think that single remedies for particular symptoms are best.

I'll be helping two women who take care of street dogs in the neighbourhood with first aid homeopathic treatment. Since I am a student myself, I will appreciate any comments or advice.

It's used...polypharmacy ahoy!

Schuessler developed a series of multiple remedies and although many authorative sources denigrate him I have used them with success. Many of the remedies were sold in the UK by a company called New Era under the heading of Tissue Salts in potencies of 6x.

Not to say much, but these remedies can be alike 'somewhat absolute', as I feel & found acccordingly.

Five combination is used on basis Dificiency theory.They have to be used in continuous doses for months .Generally they show some improvement in condition of patient in begining but in long run mix up the patient's symptoms.They are prescribed even during pregnency which I have seen complicates the case Hb level falls down and pt becomes weak where as it is ment for strengthening .Generally not advisable.
