Dear Member
Using Q (LM) - potencies in most of my daily casework for the past 12 years, I did not observe either. If either of those above mentioned remedies is indicated by the disease symptoms and applied according the principles, they have solved these problems by either open supuration, or internal absorbtion of the abscess. The same applies to my experience in the use of C-potencies which was gained by the 200 CH in single doses or applied like an Q- potency. I have not resorted to anything lower in the C- scale for years, as a lot of symptoms were brought out by the higher attenuations in addition of the lower potency provings and therefore can be cured by those higher potencies.

Another thought, looking at your address, Kitsnk9s - are you dealing with abcesses in cats? My cat had a big abcess from a fight which was enormously swollen and venting through a small hole with a discharge of thick yellow/green pus. One dose of pulsatilla 200c cleared it beautifully. Within minutes he was obviously feeling better and back to his old self. Wondering why you are looking at LM potencies for situations that require Hep or Silica?

Hello there,
I don't know if this is helpful, but I have used Hepar sulph in 6c potency daily to remove a sebaceous cyst in a teenage boy with acne. It was definitely suppurating - full of blood and pus and went down like a 'pricked balloon' with this low potency repeat. Cheers Chris Last edited by jonh; 8th September 2004 at 09:27 PM. |

Hi, Chris,
My question was posed out of educational curiosity, pure and simple. I don't currently have an abscess case. I have the lower potencies (12c and 30c) as well as LM's in Sil and Hep-sul. The individual situation is what would determine what remedy I use; I'm glad that Puls 200c worked for your cat in that particular situation. I simply would like to know, based upon LM experiences, about the actions of those remedies in LM potency. That's all. :-) I have read on this list and in other sources that many Homeopaths use LM's for acute as well as chronic situations. Darla Last edited by jonh; 8th September 2004 at 09:28 PM. |

It never seemed to me that that correspondence was very reliable; seemed more like any potency could choose either outcome, depending on the needs of the case! So I would choose potency not by what you'd like to happen (abort or suppurate), but instead by the usual guidelines -- how intense, how clear a match with the remedy, vitality of the patient, etc.

Dear Darla, I have not found this to be the case with the LM potency over the last 20 years or so. It seem if the organism needs to eliminate pus it will do that on 0/1, 0/2. 0/3 etc.. If it has the power to absorb the pus - it will neutralize it internally. It seems the vital force knows what is best! I have found, however, that Silica in 6x will remove small to large objects from the body *without suppuration*! They just seem to be ejected!!! Dear David,
Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge and experience in this area. Your comments make perfect sense, and I have made additional notes in my MM. Darla Last edited by jonh; 9th September 2004 at 02:04 PM. |
