lac caninum
dear colleagues
i am trying to construct an image of chronic lac caninum.
we know the acute symptoms of this remedy more.
old masters - dr reisig, dr bayard, dr swan , dr rice, dr seror had worked on this remedy. however, like cuprum met it is the acute picture that is more well known.
can you help me with rubrics that suit the chronic picture of lac can ?
i am posting a few rubrics that i have found in my lac can patients.
i am excluding those rubrics already listed in morrison desktop guide, vermeulen synoptic mm and boericke mm.
are the following rubrics there in lac can. (in RU / SE9 / murphy / your own experience) ?
- fear of exams -
- anticipation
- obsessive / compulsive
- desire for chocolates / cheese / fruits
- phimosis / paraphimosis
- intelligent / precocious / perfectionist
- late appearance of childhood diseases / small pox / chicken pox
- incestuous impulses / homosexual instincts
- presence of strangers aggr.
- clairvoyance
- neurofibroma
- mental retardation
can you help me with a comparative dd of lac can with carc ?
i have found an interesting co relation between carc, cuprum met and lac can. i have found an overlap of images here. tinus smits says that the copper levels are high in cancer tumors. dr smits has created a new remedy called carc cum cuprum. the mm book published by dr tinus smits gives an interesting account of the chronic picture of cuprum met. here some common symptoms between cuprum met and carc are seen. again, carc craves for chocolate. jan scholten's book mentions that chocolate contains copper.
i have found cuprum met patients crave for chocolate as well. i have seen carc patients crave for mint and tomato. both of them contain copper.
the corelation between copper - anemia - weakness - cancerous state is another point. as far as lac can (milk of dog, i mean bitch !) is concerned, it may be interesting to note the corelation between milk and mammary gland.
the classical carc of foubister is from mammary carcinoma. dr smits has lac maternum as another niversal remedy. i have found some overlap of rubrics, food cravings / aversions and mind picture between carc and lac can.
prof george vithoulkas's talks on classical homeopathy has a case of lac can.
the readers will note the food cravings of carc in that patient. GV notes this and yet goes on to give lac can based on the classical alternation of sides rubric.........i can continue !
very interesting.
would love to hear from you all.
kind regards
dr manish agarwala
