dear list
dr william earnest boyd discovered 11 remedy groups on the basis of emmanometric research. this is given in page 448-453 of the book 'principles of prescribing' by dr k n mathur. b jain. i found a remedy called "mam" mentioned after scirr. in group no 11. i did not find this "mam" listed in gr no 11, on a website, when i did a yahoo search. can anyone confirm the exact contents of dr boyd's gr. no 11 ? is there a remedy with abbreviation "mam" ? best, dr manish agarwala Yahoo! Dear Dr.
I am not sure what is going on here, however, on looking up eg., Scirrinhum in Synthesis, which I agree is found on page 451 Mathur, included in Group 11, I discovered, that in Radar, it is considered to be in Group 5. Someone has made an error. I then went and checked which rems are included in Group 11 in the Family Selection section of Radar and these are the rems I found asafoetida asarum Europaeum calotropis gigantea helonias dioica paeonia officinalis solanum nigrum stillingia silvatica thallium aceticum thallium metallicum thuja occidentalis As you can see, this is a different list than those presented in Mathurs book. Someone has made an error. It is not for me to guess which one is in error - However, I believe that Will Taylor has put the family module together, and he is very thorough and I would not expect him to make an error such as this - but anything is possible :-) I realise this will only add to your query on the remedy <mam>, which must be a typographical error. dear robyn
i sure don't know - what is going on. i think scirrh ought to be in gr 11. i did a yahoo search and i found a link:- http://www.homoeopathyclinic.com/ar...em_Relation.pdf this link must have taken input from mathur, as it appears, but the <mam> after scirr. is missing ! is <mam> a reference to 'mammary' - meaning scirrhinum(mammary) ? the brackets may have been left out in the mathur b jain version. i am not sure, but i think i did read in murphy (perhaps) that scirr. is from liver. clarke mentions scirr to be from scirrhous CA breast. i was not sure about <mam> . now you have added to the mystery. whic is the real boyd gr 11- radar(will taylor) or mathur ? what about <mam> ? manish |
