The other day I was reading "Complications" by Atul Gawande and two

things that got my attention are:



1. venom of the Conus sea snail from which an extremely effective pain

killer drug in cases of cancer and AIDS - was developed and marketed under

the trade name ZINCONOTIDE.



2. poison excreted by Epibpedobates tricolor- a Eucudorian frog - from which

Abbots lab developed a drug ABT 594. In animal experiments published in Science

this drug proved to be 50 times as potent as morphine.



The above drugs work by reducing neuronal excitability and thus differ in their

mechanism of action from all the other drugs available in the market .



any takers out there to undertake homeopathic proving of these 2 substances ...
