She is ofcourse very suspicious, very avarice, used to count the vegetables that nobody will take any. She used to strike her children. Anxious about her health, always taking medicines. Very cold. I gave her HYOS 200 two month ago and she became a nicer person stoped shouting at her neighbours but nothing happened with the delusion that the neighbours are connected to the gas electriciy and water. and she lives without those facilitiies, a very difficult life. What would be the suitable rubrics for those delusions? Any thoughts about the case? Dit |

Chops, that's just the kind of idea one does derive from studying at the Devon School, probably because Misha loves prescribing on mentals, and he's a wonder at it. But since most are not so gifted in that way at understanding others objectively, I've recently realised that physical symptoms, especially if they are general or well defined specifics, can be more useful than mentals, which are more than not interpreted by the case taker. Physicals by comparison are relatively unmediated by the prescriber's prejudices. The most useful kind of mental symptom is often something strong that is in a small rubric - I've found asking if there's any frear of rats, snakes, insects etc quite useful as they flag up the presence of certain basic types, and narrow down the case a lot.

You say Nat-c is 'known' for being selfless? What is your source as my understanding of Nat-c is just the opposite. An analogy I was given was Howard Hughes. Anthrophobia and pathological order/cleanliness. If a glass smashed on a beach the area must be searched inch by inch to clean it. Theme of possible threat from the outside.
