Don't forget to tell which carc to use...

It is a glioma.Before the drugs the seizures were starting in his right upper leg and moving upwards to right arm, after the drugs they are just in upper right leg.Mother tried to reduce drug dosage & seizures started to ascend again. I have Carc 30C & 200C (15T) (15 Tumours) from the article by Tinus Smits in Links. Any suggestion which Carc and what potency? When I studied in India they were using Carc 200C after surgery. Thanks GM.

Plumbum met, and carc c200, as described. When the paralysis is going away, check if its baryta symptomes showing then or others the maybe go in with that, but im not certain if its wise to stop plb, so let it act as complent.
If the constitutional is found a fast reaction should show in the zize of the tumor, a bit slower when it comes to plb and tohter, it may take two months before you see a change in zize or bettering in paralysis.

I am helping a colleague out to treat a 12 year old boy.Any help greatly appreciated. He has a large tumour parasagittally at skull vertex. Same location as tumour when aged 6yrs10mths (treated with chemo & radiation therapy).Tumour developed in the same location as where he hit his head very hard after a fall from a pram at 12mths of age.Original tumour was treated with dexamethazone (to reduce the swelling) and surgery then radiotherapy for 16weeks. Hospitalised again for a biopsy of the second tumour at end Feb this year- developed major infection in hospital, high doses heavy antibiotics etc then surgery to remove the plate that had been inserted over site.
Background:
-mother fell when 8mths pregnant
-normal birth but very painful-initial problems bonding
-mother petit-mal seizures as a child plus Bechetes Syndrome ( skin ulceration )
-other brothers more robust and outgoing, but one has diabetes, another asthma
-was severly asthmatic prior to the chemo - not since
-always very affectionate, needing to be entwined by mother's limbs for comfort
-doesn't hold grudges
-accepting of others
-very quiet and reserved with others but noisy and outgoing with family
-gravitates towards younger children
-gentle 'pulsatilla' type of child with large, deep, soulful eyes
-still wants to sit on mother's lap and be held by her
-wants mother and father to 'do it for him' (ie deal with the cancer)
-likes science, stars, trains, how things work, computer games where he has to think, jigsaws
-has lots of friends
Prior to recent hospitalisation, was tripping easily. Motor skills good but had always had a 'lean' and 'lead-footedness' on the right hand side.
This side is now worst affected by loss of gross motor skills.
Seizures also began on the right side ( now muted by 200mg of Tegretol and
Dilantin)
These happen within 1/2 hour of rising in the morning, lasting about 20 seconds and
moving upwards from the upper leg into the right side of the torso.
At present, David's muscular co-ordination has deteriorated so quickly that since my colleague saw him at the end of March, he has become increasingly unsteady on his feet and unable, at various times of the day, to articulate his
thoughts.
When she last saw him ( 6th April ), he was needing to be supported, but could still walk. His right hand had become palsied as in hemiplegia, so that he was unable to uncurl it or control its movement.
Now he needs a wheelchair to get around outside the house and is unable to even think of the right word to say when he wants to communicate. This loss of motor movement in speech and co-ordination is worse at different
times during the day ( variable ) but mother has said a few times that he seems to improve at night sometimes.
My colleague has given some Nat Sulph because this has effectively treated long-term
problems arising from head injuries in the past, but this did nothing. She also gave Carcinosin 200c once weekly. He has also had Hydrastis 30c to rectify some of post-surgery and drug therapy symptoms ( in conjunction
with Nux 30c that I suggested in the hospital).
Last time she saw him, he was given Mag Phos 30c and Cuprum Met 30c for the
seizures, this to be given in conjunction with Conium. She feels that the organic cause of growing tumour pressure on brain tissue is one aspect of the seizures and the heavy dosage with anti-epileptic drugs is another.
The problem at the moment he is becoming increasingly affected by his motor deterioration and is apathetic.
Causticum comes to mind because of the seizures & rightsidedness.

Is it astrocytoma, or glioma? This is important.
Plumbum met is the first choice, if theres a infection in the tumor, plumb iodatum. c200 doses every second week, carc every second week, continue this in atleast 6 months after its gone.
Other rem is Baryta carb, or sometimes baryta mur.
These are the first remedies i use after giving the constitutional.
Also give diet regulations, one glass of carot juice to each meal, high doses of vit e 2000 uie pr day, vit c high doses, adjust after tolerance, a complement of zink 50 mgc prday , vit d, omega 3-6, normal doses.

What do you think about the Tegretol & Dilantin? When would you suggest to cut down the dosage? Artemesia is a good epileptic remedy. May be able to use it intercurrently with the Plumbum? Constitutionally he seems to have Baryta Carb symptoms.Thanks.

No need for other than baryta, first c200 or above, then after a week start plumbum c200, it should take care of the rest, carc c200 is to stop a spreading. plb should take care of the epelepsy, as it shoud begin to reduce the paralysis, baryta will stop the growth, take the cause..plb will take out the swelling of the tumor, used as this there should be fast results.
the allopatic med i don know if will interfear, check the chemical properties of them what chem reactions they controll, if it may react with baryta, plb i think nothing can interfear with, its a very strong stuff.but monitor, and use the portneces after his sthringh, do not tapp him of power.

Started on 2 doses B/Carb 200 1st week
1 dose Plumbum Mon 24/4 & 27/4
Art v 6C twice a day for 1 week
He's off the Tegretol completely now since Saturday & is down to about 150mg Dilantin
Had no convulsions since started coming off Tegretol
His R foot is arching up like a ballerina & toes fling. Right side of face palsied
Was brighter on Tues & Wed & spoke to mother instead of pointing
Headache strted Wed 26/4 as soon as woke & sat up, on vertex where skull is open
Slept after Bell for H/a but is still there on vertex inside of head.
Mother she thought he had a bit of pressure since Saturday.
Mistakenly had given him Cuprum 6C daily
asleep most of today, when he did wake he was crying and
Thurs 27/4 fairly distressed. His head is still swollen and seems to hurt more when he
is upright. Lays with it on an angle.
A cold face washer on the top of his head helps. He doesn't have a temp but appears flushed. The pain increased in his head when he had a bowel motion.
The left and right leg shake when he is in the wheelchair, just like when you're nervous driving a car and can't put the clutch in - jittery. He has been drinking water but his tongue appears thick and white.
Belladonna 2 doses yesterday and another 2 Thurs, then 3 doses of Bry 30C til 6.30 Thurs nite. Sleeps well after remedies.Slept well last nite woke at 5.30am this am & had first seizure for a long time think it was just in his head, focal, shaking, not sure if started lower down.Mother had reduced Dilantin to 100mg yesterday.Said he feels sick, still no temperature.

GIVE ONE DOSE OF NUX VOMICA C12, and see if the headache when bowelmovents dissapear.
Regive plumbum after three days.
Some proovings from cuprum and allopathy is needed to go, nux will take it.
Otherwise, the signals is fine.

Gave Lyc 30 7pm Fri nite.Temp 37.1. Dilantin 150mg.Panadene Forte for h/a. 1.45pm Temp 36.8 another Panadeine Forte. H/a had been bad all that day. After Lyc & 2nd dose of Panadene woke at 5am Sat 29/4 for wee, no h/a.Drank some water. Still no appetite, seemed a bit brighter & not sleeping as much.Swelling still same. Gave Nux 30 in water. Had mandarine & vomited. Can't keep even small amounts of food down, water OK for a while but this evening vomiting it too with bile. Did only one other wee since 5am. Looking dark under eyes. Had small seizure at 3.30pm, starting in left side of chest & moving up to his head, they don't bother him.Another at 8.45pm. Head feels sore, no h/a.Mother has taken him to hospital (10pm now), she does not want antibiotics, wants them to check if any infection & for him to have fluids.
