Default Tumour female Cat -

My small grey 19yr old has a open turmour above L)eye and seated toward the ear. She isn't distressed however I am. She has a normal appetite and usual bowel and urine motions. She has'nt lost weight and remains her usual calm self. I have had her on AB's for 2 months however there has been little change (if any), she weeps puss from the wound and I am unable to control the smell. The vet does not believe there is anything else they can do for her. Oozing blood and more so when I give Phos. I am unable to keep area 'clean'. Started with 30x Ledum and Sulph, then onto Silica and Phos. Yes, the area has shrunk slightly. I believe this started from sun burn?? All advise would be appreciated. G

you might get a reply at Homeopathy = Hpathy, Homeopathic Medicines Homeopathy Remedies, Treatments & More!
look at the vet homeopathic forum and post your question. Edward is the hpathy vet on line

You posted:"Oozing blood and more so when I give Phos. I am unable to keep area 'clean'. Started with 30x Ledum and Sulph, then onto Silica and Phos. Yes, the area has shrunk slightly. I believe this started from sun burn?? All advise would be appreciated. G"

Jumping from one remedy to the next is not wise if your not 100% sure of your prescribing it may cause a proving or suppression, these are complex to untangle .
Many of the remedies you listed act for several weeks to months.

FACE TUMOR, cystic on cheek : Graph.
lips : Con., kreos., sep.
lower : Phos.
parotid gland, right : Calc.
----- That rubric isn't very helpful.

KENT1405
GENERALITIES, TUMORS, cystic (See Exostoses, Polypus) : Agar., apis., Bar-c., brom., calc-s., calc., Graph., hep., nit-ac., sil., sulph.

sarcoma : Bar-c., calc-f.
steatoma, suppurating : Calc., carb-v.
reappearing every 4 weeks : Calc.
----- Attend to the sarcoma listing, and also the suppurating steatoma listing, for calc-f. is a sort of work horse in skin cancers, and you're looking for a bleeding rubric, which is sort of what suppurating means. Grimmer, a major student of Kent who survived into the 1950s, published some major papers on his extensive experiences with cancer patients. It's astonishingly bold that he did it, and he stands as a major voice in homeopathy about cancer treatment. If memory serves me, Calcarea flurata was used with abnormal regularity. We don't like speaking like this of a drug for a disease, but Grimmer never gave the kinds of details a Hahnemannian would. Kent was only a high-potency pseudo homeopath, and you have to keep that in mind while giving him the benefit of the doubt and possibly allowing him Hahnemannian status late in life because his best papers naturally came last. Nonetheless, Grimmer never gave any real justifications for his tens of thousands of prescriptions in cancer patients. I suppose that would have been impossible, but we still don't like it.
----- If I'm wrong about it being calc-fl, somebody correct me. It's some remedy like that if it's not that one.

sarcomatous : Ant-c., apis., ars., Hep., kreos., merc., Nit-ac., phos., sabin., sulph., thuj.
----- That means skin cancers. Notice the drugs that run through these relevant subrubrics. That's a good short list of them. Read those medicines in Hering's GUIDING SYMPTOMS and in Hahnemann's MATERIA MEDICA PURA and THE CHRONIC DISEASES. You may notice something. Clarke's DICTIONARY might be sufficient if you only have it, but don't forget that he never quite escaped the errors of low-potency pseudo homeopathy, so he's quite an unreliable source even though his source references are helpful. Hering's the present major source, and Hahnemann's materia medicas will be relevant until the end of God.

malignant : Ars.
----- I arranged them in that order on purpose. Arsenicum album is one of perhaps five medicines I think of about sarcomas. The main modality about Ars. is that they're noticeably chilly, and you can't justify an Ars. prescription unless they are. They'll wear a jacket or coat in the summer. Ars. patients are normally silent, but they'll readily drop into rage. Many soldiers and policement need Arsenicum, but you could also say that about Kali carbonicum, Belladonna, Nux vomica and many other medicines, so be careful about such generalizations. My point is that an Arsenicum-album patient will generally have some element of extreme irritability that drops into rage. How do you discern that in a cat, though?

----- There's not enough information. Take the case to HPathy.com and see if a veterinarian can discern it. I've only prescribed for a few animals. They seem rather easy because they're not complicated creatures and thus seem to require a very small number of our available medicines, but you're talking about a serious case and haven't given any details. Ask one of those guys.
