Hello all!
Im 24. I tried eye exercises, not exactly the Bates method but similar, when i was about 17 and because i got stressed about doing them I actually made my eyes worse!
My older brother, however, whose eyes werent as shortsighted as mine, was able to reverse his shortsightedness with the eye exercises to just about normal, and to this day does not need glasses.
I'm wondering if there is anything we can do homeopathically to cure myopia? I know constitutional treatment will be recommended but ive been doing that for about 18 months with wonderful effects on my emotional state, some results on my physical health and energy levels, but zero response with my eyesight.

Read a case the other day of a 6 year old child whose myopia was cured through constitutional treatment (he was prescribed mygale), but does anyone know if adult myopia is reversible with homeopathics?
Stephen.

You cure the myopia by homeopathy, but the effects of glasses, is that you build the muscles around the eye, as you build the muscles in a body builder, and that muscles, will keep the eye locked in a myopiavision, only the training can get it back after using homeopathy.
If not started to use galsses, its easier, ti will change in abouth a months time, or maybe faster.

Here is a list of exercises a homeopath gave me a few years ago. Thanks for reminding me! I will start doing them again.

BETTER SIGHT

FIRST DO NECK EXERCISES.
VERY GENTLY. KEEP SHOULDERS RELAXED
DO NOT FORCE. DO NOT JERK

1 Turn head to look over right shoulder. Back to centre. Then over to left
(3 times each side)

2 Tilt head: ear to shoulder. Right side then left side.
(3 times each side)

3 Chin on chest. Back straight. Down again.
(3 times)

4 Try doing 1/2 circle very gently.

EYE EXERCISES
Between each exercise, you must do BLINKING & PALMING.

BLINKING: blink both eyes a few times. You can do that during day time, any time.
PALMING: Cup both hands. Rest head on hands. Hands cover eyes. Do not press on eyes. Do not close eyes tightly. Everything is black. Relax.

EX1: Look up, and down. Repeat 5-10 times. + BLINKING & PALMING

EX2: Side to side: Look right, then left. Repeat 5-10 times. + BLINKING & PALMING

EX3: Round the clock: look up, right, down, left. Repeat 5-10 times. Then do the same anti-clockwise. + BLINKING & PALMING

EX4: Near & far: look at finger about 8 inches in front of eyes. Then look beyond finger to something far. Repeat 5 -10 times. + BLINKING & PALMING

EX 5: Trumpeting. Look at a picture/postacard at arm length and bring closer till it touches your nose. Repeat 5-10 times. + BLINKING & PALMING

EX 6: Nasal pencilling: Imagine a pencil stuck on your nose, and draw round any object. + BLINKING & PALMING

EX7: Balancing: Stand in front of a window. Legs apart. Balance from one foot to other, eyes fixed, see the window going from side to side.Repeat 5-10 times. + BLINKING & PALMING

EX8: Reading. Take a book, or article, choose a long word, look at it fixedly until everything else disappears. Close eyes and visualise the word. Open eyes and see the word standing out on its own. Repeat with smaller word until you can do it with a one-letter word. + BLINKING & PALMING

Do you have to give up your regular specs?

Janyce,

Sorry about the delay replying - mth.bougard's exercises are pretty much like mine - only more detailed. The only thing I would add, is that the one's I read about recommended to FOCUS on objects (I suppose to make the muscles work harder) in the various directions, and to choose things that varied in colour/brightness (again, this makes the eye work harder).

My myopic number was -6 since i was 19 years old. I took Physostigma200 thrice daily for 3 days every 4 months. After a bout of horrible headaches my number is now -4 ie. within 1 1\2 years. My ophthalmalogist says it plain old luck .I could not repeat it with my patients but do try and let me know.

I have both myopia and astigmatism (an irregular form, I'm told) and am SICK of toric contact lenses. Any homeopathic remedies for these and/or additional exercises anyone knows, VERY grateful to know!
Also, if GM sees this, would like more info on your response, indicating a cure is possible for myopia, combined with exercises. What specific cure?
