SORRY!!
Im confusing I see.. U of M.. University of Michigan... There was a Dr. Singh that was working there up until last year, and working with research on children with immune disfunction problmes.

And my girl is Bipolar (manic Depression), she's 7 yrs old had severe mood swings, violent temper out bursts, extreme jeallousy, and is basically a real thrill to live with. The Dr. Singh, was working with kids and connecting immune problems with behavoir disorders.. Thats why I was asking...

Start focusing on her good points to raise her self esteem. Treat her and not the disease.

Hi, Thanks, I will check out those books. I will try about anything!!

Mselle, I do understand what you are saying, But, I live with this chid daily and it breaks my heart to see a child that has a sweet loving side to her, not be able to keep that side of her going. Instead she is in constant rages, throwing, hitting, screaming, totally jealous of her brother, parionid of everything. She cant possibly be happy this way!! My boy cant possibly be happy living with a sister that has such extreme hatered for him. Its just not a nice situation all to gether. SO, yes I focus on the problem because I want to see it GO AWAY!

Dear Dogchopper, Hang in there. I'm a teacher, teach art, K, 1st & 2nd grade. Have some pretty challenging students. You already know I have a daughter with OCD, and that I have the same condition. Homeopathy helps. Takes time, and dedication. Meanwhile, back at the ranch...Do you have a pet for you daughter? Dog, cat, bird, mouse? If not, maybe she needs a dog with a herding instinct, a heelsnapper, one that will love her and help you watch over her. A female dog. Let them bond. Get your other kids their own pets. If you can't have pets, get a big downe(feather) pillow and you sleep with it, get your hair oils on it to make it smell like you, then give it to her to hug, hold, sleepwith, what ever. Does she jump rope? Can you afford an instamatic camera? Get her one and teach her to take pictures. She needs immediate gratification, needs to see results fast. Needs constant stimulation, challenging, and rewarding. Have you tried aroma therapy? Make things together, design cloths, get old shoes and paint them, even paint a dress. don't bother with the expensive art and craft stuff. Just get some food color and an old shirt and squirt it on. Have fun. Make a mess, finger paint the bath tub together. Use soap mixed with a little blue tempera paint if the tube is white, when you wash it out, it will look even cleaner. Oh, before washing your designs away, take some paper and press it on the designs, this way you'll have a printed document to remember the fun. Make stone soup with her, there's a fairy tale about it. Read it to yourself,(don't read to her, boreing to sit still for too long, read only short stuff, build up to longer stuff gradually), then tell her about it, while you are outside looking for stones. Wash it really good, and boil it, add some spices and if it's not a toxic stone, I guess you could even take a sip. The point is have fun. Do safe, but silly things. Ask her what she wants to do. Try having fun with some of her ideas. If you have a dog, put baby cloths on it. She needs to have more fun. That's how you treat the child and not the disease. Oh, it's like a zen koan, it's philosophical, it's not meant that you ignore the disease, it's just that it's too easy to fall into the trap of creating a culture of disease, then you aren't ready for life without the disease. Sound strange? So does the sound of one hand clapping.....

Thanks.. She does have a pet. Well we have a HERD of animals in this house.. She is fond of her cat the most. but it depends on the day weather she is nice to it or mean. So it's kind of hard on the animals!

She does love the attention and instant gratification. but to be honest with you, I have after 7 years of this grown tired. Its hard to do things with her because she fights you the entire way.

I made play dough the other day, She was nasty the entire time. Then we sat down to make stuff. She got ANGRY cuz she was not a Playdough Artist right off. So, playdough was flying around the house.. What fun!!! In all this my little guy gets ignored. HE sits quietly at the other end of the table making all kinds of things that only he can recgonize, but still he is happy about it. And I can not make a fuss over what he makes because it will make my girl more angry. SO he gets ignored. I hate that!!! I try to spend time alone with each of them, but even with that, she tends to get MORE hyper when I do that. If i spend time with her alone in the morning, she is really hyper and nasty all day. I dont understand why!

So, I am just dealing with it the best I can!! I just hope its good enough!!

Thanks!
