I'd like to give a brief description of Makayla's likes and dislikes. loves hot baths very active born with dark black hair only on head dark brown eyes almost black very long eye lashes obedience lacks except when it is convenient for her very afraid of dogs even if small especially black dogs doesn't like spiders was biting nails, since the last treatment has decided not to. tall for her age she walked at 9 months teethed @11 - 12 months loves milk, ice cream, yogurt is allergic to milk products must have a snack before bed wants to eat first thing in the morning sleeps in her own bed loves to be lightly tickled and touched can be very charming scared of the dark and must have a light to go to sleep her room is very bright @ night likes to be controlling with her younger brother I hope this is helpful. I'd like some input from anyone more experienced than me. I am willing to put in a lot of extra time to help her. I do not like antibiotics and it seems as though homeopathy is the answer. Please help. I would also like to know if it is right to change a remedy after 8 hours if it doesn't seem to be doing anything. This is the philosophy of my homeopath. I'm afraid of layering remedies on top of each other. Thanks!!!!! |

Sulphur was correct, first dose pulsatilla was wrong, correct with the first dose of tub, the others wher wrong, to corrrect, after that puls was rigth, cham wrong, sulp cont was rigth, the follower should be calc carb, and no other rem, calc carb should have followed the first dose of sulp when that was through acting.
Natrium mur is also to be thougth of, as several mental symptomes point to it, maybe as a antidote to tub, given as a low x30 once, before calc c, and if need be an extra dose of NM x200 if x30 seem to be correct. ------------------ Homeopat MNNH Geir E.T. When Makayla has an episode it is usually marked by excessive sneezing, followed by stuffiness. Her mucous never runs out the front always down the back of her throat. She usually gets really dark under the eyes and pale. Then it proceeds to her sinuses or chest. After it is finished, she continues to hawk to clear mucous.
GM--I'm a little confused about your response. Are you saying I should give her calc as her next remedy??? |

I should clarify. My homeopath is is basically a consultant. She helps you with it, not necessarily a professional, but she is a nurse. What do you think about the remedy Tuber for my daughter?
And yes I'm sorry I didn't clarify about the acute illnesses. That is when she would wait 8 hours for a response. |

I AGREE WITH GM, AT THIS POINT CALC OR NAT MUR, Nat mur is the remedy.
Lycopodium: Food allergy problems with heartburn, gas, and rumbling in the abdomen may indicate a need for this remedy. The person feels ravenous hunger yet quickly gets bloated from eating a very small amount. Fatigue or drowsiness develop after eating, but the person also feels weak from missing meals. Problems are typically the worst in late afternoon and evening. The person may have a chronic worried look, a craving for sweets, a preference for warm drinks, and discomfort felt mostly on the right side of the body. Calcarea carbonica: This remedy is often helpful to responsible, steady people who become fatigued and overwhelmed. Anxiety may develop, sometimes with fear of heights or claustrophobia. The person usually feels chilly, with clammy hands and feet, and has low stamina. Digestive troubles with gas and heartburn are common, especially after eating wheat or dairy products. Swollen lymph nodes and tonsils, head sweats during sleep, shortness of breath from exertion, back pain, dizziness, nightmares, and strong cravings for sweets are often seen. Individuals who need this remedy are sometimes oversensitive to aspirin. Natrum muriaticum: A person who needs this remedy can react to allergens in many ways—with headaches, mouth sores, hay fever symptoms, respiratory problems, back pain, or fatigue. Headaches may tend to be worse in late morning and early afternoon, and asthma may be worse in the early evening. Staying in the sun too long can also lead to headache or weakness. These people usually seem reserved, disliking consolation when ill or upset, yet often have deep feelings. A craving for salt and very strong thirst may help to confirm the choice of this remedy.llergy attacks with sneezing, watery eyes, clear nasal discharge that resembles egg white, and a loss of taste and smell will all suggest a need for this remedy. The person may have dark circles under the eyes, be thirsty, feel withdrawn and sad, and act irritable if comforted. |

I rarely offer remedy ideas for "paper cases" as in my practice I get so much information from actually seeing a patient and building a relationship with them.
Re Nat Mur it would seem to be indicated IF the mucus or discharge is like the white of an egg. If it is yellow or green another rmedy hould be thought of. They tend to be shy introverted children and very sensitive so will react inside if upset and come out with a physical illnes. They tend to have one close friend that they talk to and it is difficult for parents to get much out of them re what has happened in school today. They are clever at school but tend not to answer questions in case they are wrong. They are worse from consolation when upset and prefer to be left alone. If reprimanded they may become hysterical. They cry out of rage. They are worse in the heat and the sun can give them a hammering headache. Tend to either crave salty things ( usual) but may dislike them. This child does not sound like a Calc child from the indications above , to me , but then I would require far more information. They tend to be great worriers and have lots of fears. Do things slowly. Are plodders but get there in the end. Often have nightmares. Curiosity about God. They tend to be fair skinned and plump and have profuse sweats on their head and neck especially at night. Often have enlarged tonsils and glands. Crave eggs especially boiled ones although i have a young patient who has done very well on calc and won't touch eggs!! Often have constipation and chesty coughs. Re Lycopodium - this type of chid does not have many friends and they tend to push infront of others at school. They can be quite abusive and insulting to their parents. Irritability during the day but quite pleasant at night. They hate physical games because they tend to be a weakling. They would rather read a book. They give the opinion that they are confident in themselves but underneath they are cowards, ready to give up when the going becomes difficult. Worse time of day between 4-8pm The rest you can read above in Gary's post. I hope some of this maybe helpful to you. [This message has been edited by Ricky (edited 10 February 2000).] |

heres free teaching, even for you Ricky.
Forget the mental picture of lycopodium, its not correct. Lycopodium is the diplomat, and a diplomat uses his ability to convince others to his own benefit, and he hides, the best actor there is, if disclosing a lyc you become his biggest treath, and he will try to utilize the only things he know, diplomacy, to get others to eliminate his enemy, lyc loves power, but hides it, lyc is a coward, not a bully, he does not what he can get others to do, and that general behaviour described earlier, is general for kids, no essential here to put thrust in. |
