It is my understanding that homeopathy doesn't cure named diseases and I'm not sure what VMR is but since it is a chronic disease and has, I would guess, some outward symptoms, a homeopathic cure to your complaints seems feasible. I would strongly suggest you see a good classical homeopath in person and have a thorough casetaking. If you are doubtful, describe your symptoms, including conditions under which they are better or worse, some general personality traits, and any strong food likes and dislikes, and the professionals who post here will probably point you in the right direction.

homeopathy will able to cure. there many remedies is best to see a professional, and here is some information for others.
VASOMOTOR RHINITIS Vasomotor rhinitis can cause you much frustration and discomfort. While there is no cure for this condition, there are ways to help. As with most chronic problems, the key to control is understanding on your part. This is a difficult problem to explain, but hopefully, this information willhelp you live with this problem more comfortably. WHAT IS IT? he cause of vasomotor rhinitis remains obscure despite its recognition for any years. We do know that the lining inside an affected nose overreacts to nything that irritates it. Blood vessels enlarge (vasodilate) and this results in chronic swelling and nasal obstruction. There is some evidence that individuals with vasomotor rhinitis have an imbalance in the nerve supply to the nose which leads to the dilated blood vessels. Persons with vasomotor rhinitis, because of chronic swelling, have difficulty in breathing nasally. They may have a small to copious amount of thin, watery nasal discharge, a recurrent postnasal drip, or no discharge at all. Because of the chronic swelling, normal drainage may be blocked which may lead to recurrent sinus or ear infections. Some individuals also experience burning of the eyes. WHAT MAKES IT WORSE? he thing that aggravates vasomotor rhinitis most specifically is aerosol products. These may include hair sprays, deodorants, insecticides and many others. Other non-specific factors which aggravate this condition are cigarette smoke, air pollution, ozone, formaldehyde, perfumes, chemical odors, even changes in weather, temperature or humidity (especially rainy weather). Any type of irritant that you can inhale into the nose may aggravate symptoms. IS IT AN ALLERGY? The answer is no, despite what any skin testing or other laboratory data may suggest. Individuals with allergic symptoms usually present to the allergist with a history of sneezing spells (usually greater than 5 sneezes per spell), itching of the eyes, nose and throat, and a large amount of watery nasal discharge. These symptoms may occur only during certain seasons or sometimeyear-round. People with allergic rhinitis usually have a positive family history for allergy and usually respond favorably to antihistamines and corticosteroid (anti-inflammatory) drugs. The individual with vasomotor rhinitis usually d not. In addition to the historical data to help distinguish allergic from vasomotor rhinitis, allergy testing can be done to differentiate these 2 types of chronic rhinitis. If allergies are ruled out, then vasomotor rhinitis is likely, bUT remember, these conditions can co-exist and synergistically increase one's symptoms. WHAT CAN HELP? These measures may reduce your symptoms to a pleasantly surprising degree. Obviously, you need to avoid the agents you know to be a problem. Two of the most frequent irritants are cigarette smoke and chronic use of nose drops or sprays. If you smoke or live with a family member who smokes heavily, it is unlikely that your symptoms will ever be in complete control. You will need to stop cigarette smoke exposure completely! Nose drops and sprays (Afrin, Neosynephrine, etc.) will produce dramaticimprovement in the symptoms of vasomotor rhinitis due to the ability Shrinking or contacting the blood vessels. Used occasionally, they are a helpful treatment. Used consistently, these preparations cause "rebound swelling", that is, the more you use them, the more you need them, until they do more harm than good. Try not to use these preparations for more than 2-3 days in a row. Use them as a last resort when all else fails Non-specific irritants should be avoided. Use a roll-on deodorant instead of sprays. If you must use hair spray, use the pump type. Avoid high concentrations of house dust. We will furnish you with information regarding the approach to house dust control if you wish. Certain drugs, such as blood pressure medication, may cause problems which simulate vasomotor rhinitis. check with us if there is any question in this regard. If you must treat your home with insecticide, try to be elsewhere during the actual applications.During periods of heavy pollution, drive your care with the windows and vent closed. SPECIFIC MEASURES Salt water nose spray may be useful in vasomotor rhinitis. Some patients derive significant help from either a room or central humidifier, especially in the winter when heaters are turned on and the air is very dry. Decongestants give the most consistent relief by shrinking the nasal blood vessels. Sometimes it is a trial and error thing to find the right one for you, but it can be done. These drugs are quite safe, even if taken for prolonged periods. On occasion, some people experience nervousness or insomnia, which usually goes away with a; minor dosage decrease. If you have high blood pressure, please advise us of this since decongestants may aggravate hypertension. Antihistamines are less effective in vasomotor rhinitis because histamine is amediator in allergic rhinitis. Some antihistamines may be helpful when used in combination with decongestants. Intranasal corticosteroids are safe and are at times helpful in vasomotor rhinitis. Atropine spray can correct part of the overactive intranasal nerve supply and help some people. If nasal blockage is a predominant symptom, surgical procedures may alleviate the problem if medications fail to help. You can help by learning to recognize a common complication which occurs in individuals with this problem - sinus infection. because the sinus openings may be blocked due to chronic swelling, the sinuses will not drain properly. This lead to infection which can present as tooth pain, facial fullness or discolored drainage. the best thing you can do is take your medications as directed and do not get discouraged. We will do our best to answer any questions you may have. The more you know, the better your problems will be controlled. |

To JfW & Gary
Thank You for the reply. The information you have provided is very helpful. I would like to tell my sign and symptoms. My nasal blockage is not related to Tempretaure but it is related to mental stress like after working for 5 to 6 hours I start feeling nasal Blockage and if I do not use a sympathomimetic nasal spray I will have a sever Headache within an hour or two. If I work on computers, nasal passage blocks within an hour. My personality is Type A. Most of the times I am under stress. There is no Nasal discharge or sneezing or post nasal dribbbling. Post nasal dribbling starts only after using Xylometazoline nasal spray and it lasts for 5 minutes. I have been to an ENT surgeon yesterday, he has advised me Submucosal Diathermy. Recently a person practicintg homeopathey prescribed me some medicine. One of the medicine was Sinapsis Nigra 30, after using Sinapsis Nigra I had Nasal Bleeding from my right nostril after which I stopped using it, but now Right side of My nose works better than the left. I am thinking of reusing this Medicine.Let me know if I can give a try to any homeopathic drug or I should go for operation. Thanking you for the kind help. |

PLEASE TAKEO NLY Natrium mur NOT Arsenicum Album, AT THIS POINT. ONLY ONE REMEDY.
CONTROL dust mite: Dust mites depend on humidity and grow fastest at about 80 percent RH but must be below 50 percent to stop mite growth. Temperatures in a home are just right for dust mites. Wash and clean thoroughly. Provide special protection in bedrooms. Avoid the use of materials that collect and hold dust. Use simple metal or wood furniture, washable cotton or synthetic shades, cotton or fiberglass curtains. Scatter rugs should be washed week Although proof coverings should be used on mattress,on beds box springs and pillows. Dacron and synthetic pillows are better than feathers. Put pillows through dry cycle to remove dust particles and allergens. Air conditioning will help remove allergens but an electronic or HEPA (high efficiency particulate aerating)filter remove particulates from the air and hold them. Change bedding and pyjamas often Regular vacuum-clean and air beds and mattresses, beds Air bedroom and children's rooms often and decrease the humidity Use Baygon Anti-Mite Spray against house dust mites. How do I avoid dust mites? Dust mites are difficult to remove completely from your home. However, you can follow certain anti-mite procedures that will reduce mite populations and your exposure to them, thereby reducing your symptoms. Some of these procedures are expensive, and you may not need to do them all. Ask your llergist which ones will be most helpful for your situation. 1.Reduce Surface Dust Clean your home thoroughly, on a regular basis. Vacuum frequently and dust with a damp or oiled cloth. Ideally, someone other than the dust-sensitive person should clean, but if this is impossible, wear a dust mask. Get rid of carpeting, especially in the bedroom. Carpeting is a breeding ground for dust mites. If you must have carpeting, select a type with low pile. Scatter rugs that can be washed each week are a better alternative. Wood floors, seamless vinyl or linoleum floor coverings are best because they can be cleaned easily and thoroughly, and mites don't like to live on uncarpeted floors. Remove from your home any items that tend to collect or hold dust and replace them with easy-to-clean items. Use wooden, leather, or plastic-covered sofas and chairs instead of upholstered furniture (particularly older furniture stuffed with cotton, kapok, feathers and down, or animal hairs). Select closed bookcases and curio cabinets instead of open shelves. Books and knickknacks are dust collectors. Use washable curtains or window shades instead of venetian blinds and heavy draperies. Choose furniture with simple, clean designs instead of ornately carved pieces. Select easily cleaned decorations instead of dried-flower arrangements, wall hangings and straw baskets. 2.Reduce Dust in the Air Use air conditioning to keep inside humidity at 50 percent or lower to slow down mite growth during warm weather months. A sling hygrometer or wet-dry thermometer may help monitor humidity. Change or clean air conditioner and furnace filters often. Consider using an HEPA (high energy particulate air) air cleaner on your heating system. 3.Pay Special Attention to Bedrooms On average, people spend one-third of their lives in the bedroom, and studies have shown that, of all the rooms in the home, the bedroom often contains the most dust mites. Concentrate efforts in the bedroom of the dust-sensitive person, following all the steps above, plus: Install a room air conditioner and dehumidifier in the bedroom if the home does not have central air conditioning. Place a filter made of cheesecloth under the faceplate of the bedroom heating vent to help prevent recirculating of dust into the bedroom air. Select nonallergic, washable bedding materials. Rather than pillows stuffed with feathers, down, kapok, or foam rubber, use pillows stuffed with dacron or other synthetic materials. Nonallergic plastic casings that zip around mattresses, box springs and pillows will help keep mites under control. Cover the zippers of these casings with adhesive tape to make a better barrier. Avoid comforters and chenille bedspreads. Use washable blankets and spreads, and wash all bedding including pillows without cases) every week to 10 days, using hot water. Hang clothes in a closet and keep the closet door closed, or put them into dresser drawers. Get rid of stuffed animals; they collect dust mites. Never allow pets in the bedroom. Many people may not want to get rid of carpeting to avoid dust mites, but until recently, there were no other alternatives. New products, available today, remove dust mites or their allergen from carpet fibers. One product, tannic acid, breaks down mite allergen but does not kill the mites. Another product, benzyl benzoate dry foam, actually kills mites and helps remove them and their waste products form carpet. Tannic acid can be sprayed on carpets or upholstered furniture to break down allergen from mites or cat dander When the allergen is inactivated, it can no longer cause allergy symptoms. Tannic acid works fast and is easy to use, but its effects do not last long because mites remain and allergen continues to build up, requiring frequent application of the product. Also, some people have complained it may stain some carpets and upholstery fabrics. To kill mites, benzyl benzoate moist powder can be brushed into carpets, allowed to dry for 8 to 12 hours, and vacuumed up. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved this product as a safe for home use, and it will not usually stain carpets. Unlike tannic acid, benzyl benzoate's effect is long-lasting. After one or two initial applications, you can keep mites and your symptoms under control by using it only once or twice a year. |

I don't understand your point. If there is a harm in taking Arsenicum Alb with Natrium Chloratum (Natrium Muriaticum), I request you to please tell me the sign and symptoms of Adverse effects. Also I request you to kindly tell me the exact does of Natrium Mur. From your recent reply I guess that I have to take it only ONCE IN A MONTH. Am I right? At present I am taking it three times a day. I am thankful to you and all others, I feel a lot better now. |
