Cool

Patience , please, you can not go faster forward than the body reacts.
Leave it be, its what we call a firstreaction, it will dissapear after a while, dont use sutch creams.
If its not completely gone after a month, calcium carb, or medhorrinum will be of choice.

It may be a good idea to supplement diet with "good bacteria" acidophilous/bifidous as the previous antibiotic use depleted intestinal flora. My daughter suffered from bad diaper rash from yeast overgrowth caused by antibiotics and this was helpful.

I thank you both for your replies.
Yes, he does take acidophilus tablets 3-4 times a day. Plus he gets yogurt with almost every meal or as a snack.
I don't use those stronger creams. If anything I use the normal diaper rash ointments. I know that his mom has once in a while applied a yeast rash cream.
It worried me when a couple of months ago the pediatrician, who didn't know what was causing this rash, prescribed an even stronger anti-fungal cream.
I wasn't sure if I should use the normal creams or if I should try some homeopathic ointment to help him with the soreness.
Other than that I am not messing with his remedy, which seems to have worked wonderfully for him. It saved him from getting ear tubes, etc.!!
I believe he should do fine during the summer months. Hopefully come fall/winter he will not start the same pattern of colds and infections. A smoking parent and a periodic visit relative that smokes seem to trigger things.
GM the two remedies you mentioned (calcium carb or medhorrinum) are in the 200c potency? And how do those exactly help following a sulfur treatment?
Again thanks to all of you.

Hi,Just from experience, both parents smoked in house, made me feel sick constantly, used to go breathe in my pillow, but they ripped out my tonsils, adenoids and stuck tubes in. Grew up with almost monthly, ear inf.,sore throat, resp. infections and other symptoms that nowadays we know to be tobacco overdose. I vowed never to smoke, then I did smoke. But luckily I dont anymore. LindaM.

Question

Attention needs to be paid to creams used as can interfere with remedy action. Please list just in case...
Usually a simple aqueous cream or calendula cream is sufficent, you may want to add aloe and wheatgerm oil.
Anyhow, let us know.

Does mom notice that the smoking seems to trigger things? This should not be permitted. Keep his diaper off as much as possible. If yeast is contributing to the problem you'll want the area as dry as possible.

My daughter had TERRIBLE nappy rash, after being given milk at age 9 mos....

The rash was soooo bad that it bled - her whole bottom - FOR 6 WEEKS! Anyhow, after trying all the creams (nothing worked for long!!!!!!)....my pedaetrician told me to simply wash her with mild soap after EVERY wee and pooh - PAT (not rub) her dry...and then to USE my blow dryer on the lowest/warm setting possible....holding it about 12 inches (1 foot) away from her bare bottom. Then let her go WITHOUT a nappy for the whole day. When she napped...I laid a nappy under her...but didn't close it.

This was the first sign of improvement for her....but after drying her - I would always see 'water' ooozing from the skin on her bottom - it was that raw...and would pat it and let her run NAKED!

Cleaned up a lot of messes...but she healed within 1 week - her bottom was back to normal!

So, if you are desperate for a bit of relief...try it.

Take care....and BTW, I think you are lovely to look after this little one with SO MUCH LOVE!! (Been following this thread with a warm heart! Nice to know that there are people out there loving the little ones!).

It was encouraging to get so many replies from all of you.
I try not to use too many creams. Sometimes I just use baby talc. His mom has provided me with A & D ointment. I didn't know that Zinc in ointments could interfere with his remedy! My neighbor told me that she uses oregano oil on her grandkids' diaper rashes. Would that be safe? Would it work with a yeast rash?
He is supposed to start a food allergy series with his chiropracter and I hope they can figure out something.
Yes, he does have food sensitivities (perhaps even allergies) to orange juice, pineapple, and heavy tomato paste.
I don't give him any dairy products except his yogurt. I had my suspicions about too much cheese too early in his diet. He doesn't like milk so I got his mom to provide Soy milks fortified with vitamins. Most of the time I let him drink water to detoxify his system.
Once he goes home I don't have any control of what he eats which the majority of the time is table food from overly processed foods.
Yes, his mom has realized that smoking affects him negatively but can't control the situation. It is dad that doesn't care to help with the condition. Thank goodness he has a travelling job so he is absent most of the weeek. As far as their visiting smoking relatives, they smoked outside so it wouldn't bother the baby! Still he got an asthmatic reaction to it.
My mom mentioned something she had seen in the paper about babies getting an allergic reaction to latex pacifiers. I don't know what the symptoms are but could a pacifier attribute more to his problems?
I don't give him one since he does wonderfully without one but his mom insists in giving him one even if he doesn't need it. What's even worst they don't get washed frequently!
Anyway, I appreciate all your inputs and the experiences you shared with me.
