Stramonium (Part 1)
In the middle of the night
With witches, goblins clear in sight
Dark beneath your weirdest dream
Stramonium lets out a scream
Still asleep his shrieking wakes
Poor parents question their mistakes
And if you choose to be his friend
He may be quiet, sometimes shy
Or scratch and bite you on the eye
His speech may falter, stammer out
Make funny faces, yell and shout
Prone to seizures, wets the bed
Good for sun stroke, bonks on head
Red faced with pupils large as dimes
The fellow might be known for crimes
The reason for this social flaws ?
Violent rages, breaking laws ?
Stramonium is very scared
Deep inside, no fear is spared
Afraid of dogs, and H2O
Afraid of mirrors, things that glow
Afraid of illness, afraid of ghosts
Afraid of death and getting lost
As on a drug, he may see things
Bugs and critters, cats with wings
Highly sexed with no control
Raging outbursts take their toll
I pity the Stramonium
He pays a mighty premium
For life`s sweet pleasures he must fight
An inner state of hellish fright.
(Stramonium`s common names are Thorn apple, Devil`s apple, Stinkweed or False castor oil and is a strong hallucinogen proved by Dr. Hahnemann and published in his Materia Medica Pura.)
