Continuation of China off. (Remedy profile)
China (the historic remedy, first proved by Dr. Hahnemann) is thought to work best for idealistic, artistic people. Despite problems articulating their feelings, they prefer meaningful talk to trivial chat, but their own intensity often tires them, causing irritability, laziness, depression, violence or intolerance. Easily offended, they may feel paranoid and mistreated or that they have been born unfortunate, as if the world is hostile to them. A highly active imagination can lead to a preoccupation with future plans and to egocentric, heroic fantasies that later cause embarrassment. Physical symptoms may be linked to weaknesses in the liver and digestive system and generally include a dislike of butter and other fatty foods that are sweet or spicy. This remedy is used for exhaustion following illness or extreme fluid loss (e.g. haemorrhages, excessive lactation, diarrhoea or suppuration). It is also used for headache (as if the skull would burst), insomnia, (intermittent)fever (of malarial origin with marked periodicity), gastric upsets, drawing or tearing pain in all bones and joints, liver and spleen disorders, haemorrhages from orifices, tinnitus, excessive flatulence of stomach and bowels. Face may look pale, sallow, sunken eyes with dark rings. Modalities : Worse : slightest touch, draught of air, every other day, emotional disturbances, loss of vital fluids, at night and periodically. Better : hard pressure, bending double, open air and warmth. Relations : Complementary to Ferrum metallicum and Calc. phos. Antidotes : Nux vomica and Belladonna. Wim

It was you who took leave from Hpathy for a while. Recently I found that Dr Leela and you are more active here and hence started visiting this site. I was heading (temperorily) our MBA college for the last 6 months and was made busy. But trying to follow your, Murthy's and Snoopy's posts whenevr possible at Hpathy and otherhealth. Not following your vet posts ofcourse, but am trying to spend some time with Materia Medica. Thanks & Regards, Rajendra. |
