Default Child eczema Case

Hello all,

my 5 years old niece is suffering from a bad eczema since a few years so, since I've been studying homeopathy for quite some time now, I suggested the mother (my sister) to take her by a homeopath.
But hearing my sister's description of how he carried on the visit I realized he must be a pseudo-homeopath.
In addition to a strange homemade wave-produced remedy and a few allopathic medicines he also prescribed one homeopathic remedy that might sound correct.
I won't say the name of the remedy right now, not to influence anybody.
If anyone has some time, I would like to see what's your repertorization.

5 years old girl, a bit skinny, thin hair.
Affected by a very itchy eczema, worst at night. It comes and goes, seem to be worst with stress and some food like chocolate.
When its present it covers most of the body with small red eruptions, also visible on the face and especially in the eye sockets.
With scratching the eruptions get crusty.
Skin is pale and dry, offensive breath, she suffered from constipation several times in the past.
Her mother defined her as "accurate", she likes things done in the right way, for example in a waiting room she noticed 2 chairs not being symmetrical.

Child is introverted, it looks like she suffered when she got a sister and she doesn't get all the mother's attention anymore.
At the same time she likes to be pleased. For example, when asked to choose between 2 dools she often says: "let my sister choose first".
It's often difficult for her to talk when there are other people giving her too much attention.
It was observed that in very rare cases she has fits of anger with crying and throwing objects.

Worst at night, feels very well during the summer, it looks like the sun and sea heals her skin and eczema seems to disappear.
More chilly than hot.

Thx

An arsenic salt is also possible.

Hi Robin,

Eczema/Skin problem cases are usually not particularly easy to deal with, so why don`t you try to find an experienced classical homeopath for your niece for full case taking. In your country (UK) there are a great many experienced and qualified homeopaths !

Hi Sajjad,
Its usually a very good sign when 2 homeopaths can agree on a remedy

Hi RObin - I tend to use the Complete repertory 2005, as I've got used to finding my way around it.

Default Child eczema Case

I went through all the postings on the subject and repertized the case and the result I got is:
Stramonium for 1)being introspective, introverted or absorbed 2) Throws things away 3)Amelioration from exposure to sun 4) amelioration from air Seashore
According to Boericke 'the entire force of this drug seems to be expended on the brain, though the skin and throat show some disturbance.

Ignatia: 1)Introvert 2) Jealous, children in when a new baby takes the attention of the family away.

Other Possible medicines: Thuja, Causticum, Veratrum Album.

My suggestion: Give a dose of Stram ( potency of 30 or 1m ). I also suggest that the medicine ( 1 piliule) be dissolved in about 3-4 spoons of water. Give the same when dissolved. Wait for 12 hrs. If no reaction is seen by then, give one more pill. Then stop the medicine and wait for about a week and report.

I have found that taking the pill in water and dry gives effect. However, from my experience I feel that giving in water gives better result.

Hello Drarrn,

thanks for the input.
The child has received Silica 200 1 dose and got a strong eruption for the last 10 days that seem to dry up and get a bit better.

All I can say is that the eruption always comes when she is very tired or unhappy/frustrated. So it's really mentally related.

Thx
Robin
