I was diagonosed with PCOS three months ago after trying to conceive for the last one year or so. During the ultrasound scan the doctor found cysts on both sides. My periods have never been regular, always ranged between 28-35 days :at times even crossed 43 days.. The menustration flow has always been heavy with clots. My hormonal levels are fine and I am not overweight.I am not a vegetarian, I eat a lot of chicken but less red meat. I am currently on Glucophage 500 mg twice a day to help me ovulate better although i am not insulin resistant like most patients of PCOS.I am 28 years of age and I have no children and was married 2 years ago.I dont drink any alcohol and take around 2 cups of tea a day.No other physical complaint although I get regular vaginal discharge.I used to suffer from colds a lot but not any more.I was on round of clomid/injectables along with an IUI last month and it failed. Can anybody help we with some medication for this problem.Has anyone had success using homeopathic medicnes for this? Can the cysts go away with medication?

Hello,

Homoeopathy has an answer in the longterm for PCOS, but the results are long drawn out.

If for you the immediate concern is conception, homoeopathy can help you stay emotionally calm, and help you concieve in that way. Whenever you happen to ovulate, then, you would concieve.

But the main treatment for conception would be Clomid, and watching your cycle. Its tough on you and your husband, obviously, but one does concieve at some time! If your on a break, I would advise homoeopathy/Bach flower remedies while you are not on Clomid. But when you start Clomid, I would advise against taking homoeopathy along with it.

Warm regards and all the best,
doctorleela

Hi,

Thanks for your response, this cycle I am taking a break from clomid and injectables and just having my ovualtion monitored by ultrasounds. The doctor wants to check if I am really ovulating. I live in UAE where it is impossible to find a homeopathic doctor.

Can u suggest any medicine that I can take this month?

Unfortunately homeopathy doesn't work like that. It works on prescribing for the totality of symptoms including the mental and emotional ones i.e. for the individual rather than for a disease name.

If you say where in the UAE you live someone like Lisa may be able to help you.

Hello,

A 1 month break from clomid is not enough, as the body will be still hypersensitive. I suggest Bach flower remedies for you based on your history.

Warm regards,

Bach Flower remedies are very similar in principle to homeopathy, and are 38 in number. The mode of preparation is different, the method of taking them is the same. If you are interested, you will have to give a complete case hisoty (homoeopathic) and I could help you out.
