sorry for the interruption .when reading many doubts (thaks to yonne ,for posting a very good topic)I have some openion.
discussion is going on a very small gland, about 15-25 gms in weight ,but it hormones has action on numerous systems like metabolism of protein, fat, carbohydrate, heart, cellular oxidation, calcium, etc. hyper or hypothyroidism can be diagnosed by specific tests(isotopic and nonradio isotopic tests.the values of T3,T4 are high on graves disease and TSH is low.In primary hypothyroidism T3,T4 are low and TSH is high. other method like thyroid scan also helpful . Mere protrusion of eye ball with normal blood result may not be due to thyroid .other causes also looked in to .But for homoeopathic treatment we looked in to patient's peculiarity .Diagnosis and testing help us to evaluate result after medication. Hashimoto's disease (auto immune thyroiditis) ,thought to be of genetic predisposition .Apart from its clinical features ,look for in family for other autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis,Myesthenia gravis ,perinicious anaemia etc .there may be also associated Addison disease, diabetes melletes, ovarian or testicular insufficieny.other diagnostic features are low T4,T3,FTI and high titre of thyroid antibodies in serum . Homoeopathic management -simple goitre may be due to puberty or pregnancy and amiable to treatment. In my experience many patients of hyper and hypothyroidism are benifitted both symptomatically and with regard to lab tests .In hashimotos deep antimiasmatic homoeopathic treatment is necessorry ,probably all miasms come here.As there is hereditory disposition, it is good to give children ,antimiasmatic or constitutional maedicne infrequently. ------------------ |

Lynnette, contact Dr. Franne Berez at the Squirrel Hill Family Wellness Center. (412) 422-5433 They have changed some area codes in that area but I think it is still 412. If you don't get them, just check the area code. It's very easy to get to and plenty of parking close by. Good luck.

PANNAKKAL - Please do not feel that you are interrupting - Any help will be appreciated by all of us. It seems the medical tests that are given in the US do not always show there is a thyroid problem, but many of us have symptoms that we know are related. Bleeding, excessive tiredness, dry skin, bulging eyes, fibroids, weight gain, etc.....the list goes on. Any insight by anyone will be much appreciated.

Have you contacted Broda o Barnes Institute for a list of Doctors who will take your symptoms seriously and dignose and treat Thyroid properly
The UK is the same sadly only a very few DRs know how to deal with Thyroid I really would like to see a good Homeopathic profile develop and am not being defeatist but I know many many Thyroid patients who have seen classical homeopaths who admit they cannot turn Thyroid around so one is left with finding a good allopath Have you had all 3 Thyroid Antibody tests done ? Is there a family history of Thyroid, Diabetes, Dyslexia, Rheumatoid Arthritis, pernicous anaemia etc |

Pat...I have finally found a doctor that doesn't think I am crazy. One of my throid tests came back and its fine but he knows Hashimotos Disease isn't always identified by blood work. He will start me on a low dose of medicine while waiting for the other tests since he knows I do have the disease. My mother had the arthritis, lupus, pernicious anemea, lung cancer, osterporious, etc...you get the picture. I told the doctor that this is all a time bomb waiting to go off. He has taken me seriously, thankfully. (He is an internal medicine doctor). My gyn doctor still wants to just do surgery or give me that Depo shot, both of which I have refused at this point. Ob/gyn doctor says that if left untreated, horrible stuff would happen...cancer, etc. Fibroids (like mine) are not maligant, at least at this point. So I hope that Dr. Bill will be able to straighten all of this out. I will keep you all posted. At least he will tell you that the thyroid will throw off a woman's cycle...so many don't agree to that..so at least he doesn't think I am nuts!!! Yea!!!
Dessie...thank you for your help. I am holding on to the address in case this all falls through. I am sorry I haven't gotten back to you until now...I have been kinda under the weather.

PANNAKAL
What miasmatic treatment would you recommend Ben sugested Psorsinium for my DH reading it i suspect it would pretty much apply to all Thyroid patients they all have virtually identical swymptom pictures but their characters and reaction to illhealth are often very changed and masked by the thyroid condition hence why i suspect the right remedy is so difficult to find |
