Hi Pat - Welcome back. I've pulled up the post regarding thyroind for you to look over. I am entertaining a house full of company this week and will not be able to contribute much, but if you're not too busy you could help out the other women with concerns. Thank you

Ben Rozendal is the only one I know who is likely to be able to help

All the symptoms you all describe ARE ALL CONNECTED with Thyroid ........its just stupid doctors who dont know what they are on about

Thyroxine is inadequate and many many people are little better on it never mind without

Radio Active Iodine ......RUN LIKE HELL
Surgury .........the same

After 32 years of watching DH with Thyroid and helping thousands in a Thyroid group
Try Homeopathy first

I have hypothyroidism, but I always tested 'normal'. Homeopathy alone worked for several years and I felt great while it did, but then a lot of stressful situations came up, one after another, for about 5 yrs. and that seemed to set me back a lot and homeopathy wouldn't address the problem any more. Now I take armour thyroid and I do ok on it, not great though. I think my adrenals are involved too and I need to figure out what to do about that.
Now that I'm in my 40s, I'm having cycle problems; longer duration, more frequent, irregular, pms, etc. I found out that my progesterone level drops off too soon in my cycle, so I now use progesterone cream and it has helped a lot.
The bulging eyes is one symptom of hyperthyroidism. You should be checked for it and not let it go untreated for too long if that is what you have. A naturopath I know said he has had a lot of good results treating hyperthyroidism without resorting to the drastic measures md's use.
Thyroid illness is a hard one to cope with at times and it's so underdiagnosed. I think some of my family members had it and went undiagnosed their whole life.
Good luck to all of you who are struggling with this.

I have been tested lately and been told that I don't have a thyroid problem, yet I have had Hashimoto's Disease for 7 years. So where did it go? They won't put me on medicine since the tests are "fine" yet I still have all the symptoms of the disease. Plus now my cycles are nuts and fibroids..it just gets worse. So how does one start on homopathic treatment when there isn't a homopath or naturalpath anywhere around here?

Lynette - where do you live? I bet someone can find you a professional homeopath not too far from where you live!

Lynette, it seems to me that you need a new doc. How can you not have thyroid trouble with hashimotos? It just doesn't make sense, since your body is attacking your thyroid when you have hashimotos and it eventually kills it, at least that's my understanding of it.
I don't know what country you're in, but in the U.S., some homeopaths will work with you over the phone if there are none in your area. It's a little harder that way, but better than nothing. Good luck to you.

I live in Clarksburg, West Virginia. There are people here and there that sell herbs and stuff out of their houses that will try to treat you, but they are not licensed nor trained formally. That does make me a little leary and haven't tried them. If anyone knows of someone in this area, I would appreciate knowing of it. Or even someone on line would be good also...plus we don't have any place that sells homopathic medicine except about an hour away, and they only sell the basic cold and flu stuff. Thank you all for your help!!

Some states in USA do not allow Homeopaths to practice

IF YOU HAVE HASHIMOTOS YOU NEED MEDICATION

In USA at Least you can get Armour Thyroid

Also contact Broda O Barnes Institute in
Conneticut they should know of a SYMPATHETIC doctor who will treat you correctly

Sure if you ask Ben for private E Mail help homeopathically he too will help

I'm hoping to stir up some new interest for all the ladies that have contributed to this post - seems we could all benefit from someone with some knowledge - Does anyone out there have any suggestions?

Ben is the only one I know who is able to treat Thyroid Homeopathically given a good description of the patient

Sadly a blazing row between GM and Ben etc seems to have caused the loss of a great insight
