Rochelle, what are the mentals? And where does she live? if near the sea Murex certainly needs looking into, although not restricted to coastalm dwellers. you may also want to look at aletris. If she is a woman with fixed habits the Kali salts might be indicated. What is her weight and build? Food likes and dislikes?

Aletris - what an interesting remedy. I will look more into this one too. No disgust for food except aversion to all dried fruit and won't even eat Xmas cake or pudding because of it!! Height 5, 6" build medium, is toned up because does aerobics etc. Complains about poor memory. By the way she does live in a seaside town! So I will also look up Murex.

Hi Rochelle - could you keep us posted on this case as I am having a similar problem. Age 47, periods every 21 days, but spotting three or four days prior then a full heavy period. (seems like I always have it - I do sometimes spot between at mid cycle) I've had a biopsy and ultrasound, with nothing medical showing up) I've talked to my Gyn and also my internist, who say I have NOT started menopause and this could continue for several years. The spotting is very inconvenient as it seems to happen at the most inopportune times. I have been taking Black Cohosh for three months and this has helped alot with the cramps and bloating. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Thanks- Yvonne

Do you have a homeopath. If not see a professional homeopath who will take a full case history and prescribe a renedy for you as an individual.
My patient does not have the spotting but there are remedies that you can take for this. I treat her constitutionally, for the whole person rather than for a specific condition. This problem happens to be what is left from the symptoms that she presented with. She is on holiday at the moment and then I will be so we agreed to meet up again probably at the end of August. I will post any results I have with her. |

Yvonne,
You can also check out a book called Before the Change by Ann Louise Gittleman. Its very good from a nutritional standpoint for foods to eat and vitamins and oils to take for various perimenapausal problems. |
