Default Effect of smoking dope on homeopathy treatment

Can smoking dope on very rare occasions (like once every 6 months) mess up your treatment to the extent that homeopahy can't help you anymore? Knowing that I'm taking homeopathy for the ailment of anxiety and bad mood.

What about MDMA (Ecstacy)??

Dear AGS
If you have gone to a homeopath and paid for his/her services it's best to keep these things at bay till you are well on your way to healing.Doing a casetaking is verry difficult and costly, why spoil it. Cann I. is a plant med in itself sometimes also used by homeopaths,so the interaction might confuse your case.
Any drug can cause a interaction, while you are on homeopathic remedies. Even taking a sip of coffee can stop remedies in it's tracks.Or drinking peppermint tea. I'm sure you were told this by your homeopath........Yes?
I would hold off for now...........................

What remedy have you been given to take? Are you seeing results?

Dear Mr Jacob,
I would like to differ on this point.I had a case of acute fever which had the mentals of acute disorientation of time and space along with delusions of grandeur. The case responded superbly to a single dose of cannabis indica 30

Just because YOU haven't seen ever Cann-I indicated in a case - doesn't mean it's a remedy with no medicinal value.

The 'mentals of this drug..do not correspond' ....to what????
Wow. So you always have to have a mental symptom to be able to prescribe? What if there are no discernable changes from a patient's normal mental state???

Thanks Gina and thanks Jacob,

Actually what I took was Hashish, I also smoked it 6 months ago but before that I was off it for 2 years. More than 3 years ago I was heavily smoking it and 5 years ago I was taking Ecstacy heavily for about 2 years.

I started Homeopathy around a year and a half ago. I was taking a nosode but my Homeopath preferred not to tell me the name of the remedy. I was also taking Cipralex for 2 years but got off it like 3 - 4 months back (very gradually). When I'd take the daily remedy I would feel better but the effect wares off as soon as I stop. Recently we changed the remedy and I felt much better after taking the 200C but after like one month I dropped again... and then I smoked the Hashih 2 weeks back and now I feel like ****... very down..

Hi all!

Well, since i am not a qualified homeopath i will not comment on the use of cannabis or marihuana while under homeo treatment.

BUT.....this thread is very interesting for me since i actually at the same time of my health beeing bad, i lived at a friends house a couple of weeks where it was smoked marihuana and cannabis regularly. I have been wondering much about the effects and if there could be any connections.

This happenede summer 2002. To make a short description in april that year got a large cortisone shot because of a back injury in 1999 and from july til august i lived in apartment with fumes from cannabis/marihuana.

To put this into perspective: In march-april that year i was training in the gym two-three times a week and bicycled easy 50km in one day going on trips. In september same year i was exhausted from walking up stairs and could not bicycle longer than 1-2 km before exhausted. After aug-sept that year it is like i have been living in a dream and my health has been really lousy.

So, do anyone have comments on the effects of cortisone contra cannabis/marihuana upon body? I am not sure what those guys was smoking but it was either cannabis or marihuana.....

Fredrik

Dear members

Using other drugs while on homeopathic treatment makes the outcome unpredictable.
Mind altering drugs, (and such are LSd and Canabis to a certain extent ) may mess-up the case from that point of view, that the powers of observation of the patient are altered, or likewise certain sensations are felt more prominent and others are not due to the numbing capacities of those drugs.

Drug induced diseses can be of a longterm character even if the user stopped the drug intake. This is well documented for Heroin users and to a lesser degree for cannabis. I have seen these drug diseases combine with Psora and thereby forming a monster disease difficult to almost impossible to cure.

There is still a myth in the heads of some members, that disease wraps itself around Humans in layers, and that they can be peeled off by homeopathic remedies. Daily experience shows, that this is not so.

Reg.; Cannabis indicana, -- i had 2-3 cases in the past which responded well to this remedy when it was indicated by symptom similitude. One I can recalll of a case of chronic Kidney infection

Dear Hans!

Would you have a comment on my post, in regard that you have treated 2-3 cases with Cannabis Indica. May i ask if any of them was due to use of Cannabis?

Thank you very much!

Fredrik

Dear Jacob!

Thank you very much for a good answer, which was answering exactly what i wanted to know.

I think maybe there must be some combination of the Cannabis fumes, Painting fumes and Cortisone that put my probs on, and it would be interesting for me to locate what happened so that i could keep them out of reach or avoid in the future.

I am under gret care, so i am not worried about getting cured at some point, but it is always interesting to investigate the true cause for ones problems.

So thank you very much again for these insights into Cannabis effects Jacob!

Fredrik

Default You can't prescribe on what's not there!

Quote:
So, while we may get away with prescribing such remedies purely on physical grounds in this way, as far as I am concerned, the risk to the patient is far to great, if they are not present.

If there are no (mental/emotional) symptoms - there are no symptoms! We cannot make them up. We can only go with the symptoms that are obviously there and carefully analyse what's present! Even if they are only physical.

Where is it said that, "if there are no mental or emotional symptoms then the risk to the patient is great"??

Quote:
If the patient's case has no mental or temperament type indications, select a remedy which also has none as part of it's drug picture.
You're joking. Right?
