Can homeopathy cure eye sight or improve it? as some genetic conditions are cured more often than others, and is near-sighted or "astigmatism" a disease term? Thx

Poor eyesight, poor accomodation, long sightedness, near sightedness are all symptoms and are definitely cured. My observation is that some of the eyesight problems are hereditary some are traumatic. Injuries to bones cause eyesight problems.

WHAT IS A DISEASE NAME good for? There is no place for a DISEASE NAME in Homoeopathy. There is a tendency amongst people and allopaths to look for a culprit and name him.

What is that " 'often' " ? Definitely does not mean often.

Myopia: Short/near sightedness

Hyperopia: Long sightedness

COMPLAINT comes out of the patient's mouth. Disease name is on paper hence it will only come out of an allopath's mouth.

The following definnitions from reputed medical dictionaries should be referred.

1. A visual defect in which the unequal curvature of one or more refractive surfaces of the eye, usually the cornea, prevents light rays from focusing clearly at one point on the retina, resulting in blurred vision. Also called astigmia.
2. A visual disturbance caused by an error in the refraction of light within the eye.

It is interesting to note that astigmatism has nothing to do with the defects of the lens.
