Default Parkinson and Chronic constipation

Hi

My father aged 70, is suffering with parkinson since 14 years and is under allopathic medication. His mobility is reduced a lot.

He is suffering high constipation. We are using all sorts of laxatives and it takes 2 - 3 days of laxative usage before he empty's his bowls. Often his stools are so hard, some one has to help him with fingers to empty.

Further , since past one year we are observing that his legs are becoming thinner and constipation is increasing. Due to parkinson he is not moving much and almost confined to bed.

He gets emotionally disturbed (often he asks for poison !!!) till he empties his bowels and after that he comes back to normal.

The suffering due to constipation is becoming more than the parkinson and the use of laxatives is creating some sort of abdominal pain.

Can any one suggest some medicine for his constipation? As of now he takes Parkinson drugs + BP Drugs + Blood thinning Drugs (all allopathy and some ayurvedic drugs also for parkinson.

Thanks
Nag

chiru71,
There are many remedies in Homeopathy for parkinson's.Its better to consult some good Homeopath nearby to take the case and monitor the progress. On line treatment of this type of disease is very difficult.
In similar condition in parkinson's Mag.Phos-1M every week given good results. As Homeopathic remedies are selected as per the symptoms of the patient unless untill a remedy is well selected and prescribed by a Homeopath one should not take a remedy thinking it helped some one.Cause it differs from person to person.Hope to hear you consulted a good Homeopath and your father improved.

Dear Nag, constipation might be due to his meds, look into it before taking more pills. Also eating papaya/mango's right before bedtime helps alot (good bowel movements) also the lack of magnesium causes constipation . And of course homeopathy can help but must be done via a appointment in person as the previous post states. not here on line. Gina Tyler
