However, I'm having trouble coming up with a clear-cut remedy; my reading through the books I have indicate that Nat Phos, 6x, 3 times daily, would work. It seems to give some small, immediate relief, but I've noticed no long-term results. Here are some specifics: Severe heartburn, usually preceded by a dry, ticklish cough originating in the breast. Worse in the afternoon, especially in the evening. Usually accompanied by belching and a feeling of tightness in the lower chest; belching makes it better. Bananas make it feel better; berries make it worse. Better if sleeping on the left side, worse on the back. Often preceded by very localized spinal pain, directly across from the end of the sternum, but only in the morning (right after getting up.) Heat and steam make it better; cold makes it worse. Any ideas? Thank you! |
