Default Hexheimer Reaction

Is there any homeopathic remedy you can take to reduce the aggravations of a hexheimer reaction?

Hexheimer Reaction is a bit like symptoms you get with detoxing something to do with the toxins leaving the body or something being put into the body that it is not used to - in my case live yoghurt with cultures believe it or not.
Symptoms can range from muscle pain, headaches, palpitations etc.
Hope this information helps.
I am suffering from the muscle pain which is uncomfortable but in other ways the live cultures which are in fact a probiotic are doing me good it is just the uncomfortable side effects until your body gets used to them.

passkey has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Default Think we are talking about

Herxhiemers reaction - which is the reaction of the immune system to an overload of nasties.

Has happened in the past when an asymptomatic syphilis of long standing is killled off by antibiotics and the toxins can lead to - in the worst case - heart failure.

Passkey - that won't happen to me will it as I have gone through the palpitation stage, then on to the muscle pain which is improved today I must say but previous to this I had just had a course of antibiotics and wanted to put some good bacteria back into me. As I am a believer in getting the good things from food as opposed to tablets thought the live yoghurt was the best way to do it - but you've scared me a bit now with your reply!
Please can you reassure me - should I be worried or is it just a die-off sort of reaction?
I posted originally to see if there was a remedy I could take to ease the muscle pain but I must admit that my eyes are brighter and I have a much better feeling of wellness in myself since taking the yoghurt.

Default Sorry - no intention to scare anyone

and yes you are on the right track and should find that things continue to get better.

Was only pointing out a worst case.

Passkey
Thanks for the reassurance - however things got worse so after about 6 weeks now of having this muscle and joint pain I've quit the yoghurt and today I have no pain.
Just wonder if it was a sensitivity to the yoghurt or the acidiophilus - if it was the yoghurt then I would consider a probiotic in supplement form but was it the acidophilus that was causing it. Do you think it it was the acidophilus would I be able to take it in tablet form without having the similar reaction.

Can't homeopathy produce Herx or detox reactions as well?
