how similar in percent does a remedy have to be to work? at least 70, 80 or 90% to an individual?

There is no such measurement in percentages.
A remedy may be similar to a superficial expression of symptoms or a remedy may be similar to a deeper expression of symptoms or a remedy may be similar to the miasmatic expression. Every remedy will move the case in a particular direction, either towards cure or towards suppression.

It is an ART that a homeopath is trained with to make use of varioius expressions to cure or at least to bring relief to a patient. A careful and observant homeopath will notice when the picture changes and prescribe the next indicated remedy - while also making an analysis of the progression of symptoms.

Possibly it does, but there is no way to measure such a thing with this therapy, yet!
