The main indications for any remedy is the predominant picture of symptoms.
If the predominant picture of symptoms is psoric in nature (emotional and physical) then it means that one is in a predominantly psoric phase of expression. this also means that: - remedies are multimiasmatic - people's case histories are multimiasmatic - one may express a different miasmatic expression at different points of time depending on how one's case is progressing - towards cure or towards suppression. As I may have mentioned to you before, this is something many homeopaths are still grappling to understand! I've noticed that you seem very keen to learn very central principles of homeopathy! I think you shoulh start at the beginning. Its a very good place to start! If you are just being introcuded to homeopathy here is a good course to begin with: http://www.hpathy.com/basics/homeopathycourses.asp All the best, dr. leela |

No, I"m saying a person can be multimiasmatic. but manifests one predominant miasmatic picture at a particlular point of time.

everyone has parts of all the miasms in their hereditary genetic makeup.
BUT at ANY given time one of the miasms will be the predominant\surface one and that is the one which must be dealt with. THey all have distinct aspects and it should be relatively easy to pick out the one that is at the root of the problem , which one confronts. |

Dear Members
Disease of miasmatic nature is acquired. Therefore it has a start and an end. It cannot be assumed, that every person on this planet has ,,Miasm'' or is ''miasmatic''. Personality is primarily a bunch of views and beliefs we hold, but in itself not miasmatic. Everyone can change his/her view anytime, as they please, and thereby change their personality. Remedies are not miasmatic -- nor multi miasmatic at all !! Remedies are substances which by their virtue of altering the healthy state in a sick state, expressed by signs and symptoms are held to be medicines and by their aplication according their virtues in a symptom similar fashion become remedial. In chronic miasmatic disease such as Psora, any remedy can be of service, may it be classed as an already anti-psoric or not. All what the classification expresses is: the remedy is by its symptom picture similar to the disease-symptom picture accumulated by Hanemann from all psora sufferers. Taken the multitude of symptomal expression of psora, fragmentarily noted in the CD, almost any remedy proven can be of service. ( and is so as the daily clinic shows). On the background of this, it is quite understandable that hahnemann was rather dissapointed after a while, as more and more remedies could be classed as anti-psorics, rendering the selection even within the group more and more difficult. We can resume from the experience of the past 150 years, that for the actual prescription of the now useful remedy the miasmatic aspect (evaluation) of the history of diseases of the patient has no significance at all. Only for prognostics, there may be some value in the knowledge of chronic miasmatic disease, often teinted by what is known as the ''Herings law'', a fabrication of Kent following his swedenbourgian beliefsytem which he shared with Hering. All that talk of multi-miasmatic evaluation reminds me to the footnote on par.: one in the Organon.

HI Sufferer,
I see you persist in asking very advanced questions - I hope all the answers above are clarifying things rather than adding to the confusion! Almost every well proven remedy displays a multimiasmatic picture. This means that Most remedies can cover a miasmatic expession if indicated based on the picture of the presenting symptoms. SOme remedies however display predominantly one maismatic pciture eg> Sulphur for Psora, etc The ability to understand the expression of a miasm requires the same degree of skill as observing characterstics of a case for a remedy at a particular point of time. the latter though always preceeds the former in a choice of remedy. There are some developments in understanding and applying this, that have progressed beyond the explanations in the Chronic Disease, especially in clinical application of the use of antimiasmatic remedies and appreciating the presence of miasms in a case. But the foundational base is always the CD, and not deviating from the basic requirements of management. dr. leela |
