Hello all as I am new to this forum.
I have a question that I hope can be anwered. I have been taking Arnica Montana off and on for some time now. I am not sure which is better for my condition, I have a bad lower back, bulging discs and degenerative discs (for the last 8 years, since age 20). Should I be taking 200 ck or 30 x? Which is the difference and would best suite me? Are they both the same but the 200 ck is more potent (that's what I have read)? Also I have taken Hylands Backache with Arnica (it has Arnica 6x and other ingredients) if anybody is familiar with that or would recommend that more or less than the only Arnica pills? Any help you could give me would be appreciated. Thanks, Iceman |

Also I am currently taking the Arnica 200 ck and think is makes me light headed and I don't really see much results. I have taken anywhere from 2-3 pills at a time, recently took 3 pills, not much results, then 2 more an hour later. Some how I just think they don't do any pain relief for me but do make me weaker/light headed (which I don't like when I'm driving).
Anybody have any good or bad experiences with them? |

There are hundreds of remedies for backache, and you may need any one of them. Arnica is only suitable if you have an 'Arnica' back problem - that is the unique and peculiar symptoms of your backache match the unique and peculiar symptoms of Arnica. Do either of you know how a homoeopathic remedy is correctly prescribed? If this is something you have prescribed for yourself, you should stop and find someone who has some training. Homoeopathy is actually quite difficult to use correctly, especially in chronic cases.

I have often used Arnica 30 in the wet dose successively for chronic back problems and there is every possibility that you too can be helped by this amazing remedy which is not usually recommended for back problems.
I shall detail the method of using Arnica 30c below: Get a 500ml bottle of spring water Pour out 100ml Put in 3 globules or 1 drop if you have the liquid remedy. Hit the bottle hard on your palm or a cushion and watch for the water to fizzle like when you open a bottle of soda. You may also twirl the bottle in your palm and look out for the bubbles which is the secret of succussion which maked theremedy more effecive for long use. If you feel you are overweight you may use Nat Phos 6x to bring your weight down which can also help with resolving your back problem. Sip a teaspoonful twice daily and report response in a week. I checked your profile and discovered that you are a Wrestler. I presume that you injured your back during a bout and I presume that you do not indulge in your sport today as it is obvious that your back must be rested completely as drugs which I presume you may have taken in the past and Homeopathic remedies which you may take in the future cannot help you till you help your back to recover from the damage that it has sustained. A hard bed is also useful as are exercises designed to relieve the pain and help in the recovery process for which you will have to consult specialists and abide by their advice without of course using the drugs that they may prescribe which usually are analgesics.

Well thanks everybody for your thoughts and ideas. You all seem pretty friendly here and try to help, thanks, respect.
Yeah, I guess I just assumed Arnica was best for Back pain because I've heard so much positive stuff about it. I am a little surprised that nobody here ever uses the 200 CK Arnica, just the 30 X. But your probably right, each Back condition probably needs a certain attention or homopathic medicine. I guess nobody here would know which is best for my condition? Bulging and degenerative discs in my lower back. I did go to a Homopathic Doctor before would recomended and gave me Ruta before. But I don't know how much that really helped me before though. Maybe I'll try to get some more of that again and give it a shot instead of Arnica. He also gave me acupunture which helped relieve pain (for 3 months), but I still have the same pain after doing certain activities (Basketball, Push-Up, Working on Car, etc.). |

Seems like there are very knowledgable and helpful people on this Chat Forum. So I was wondering what you would recommend for my Back Pain. I have Bulging and Degenerative Discs in my lower back. Also it is said I have arthritis in my lower back. I currently go to a Chiropracter which gives me some temporaly relief. I have been to Physical Theropists in the past as well. I am 30 years old and have had this problem since I was 20. I'm a male, and weigh 155 lbs.
I have heard of some of these Homepathic Pills and wondered which may help if any in relieving the pain or better yet in the healing process. Arnica Hekla Lava Hypercium Bryonia Ruta Symphytum Ledum Calcarea Phosphoricum Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. |

There are many other medicines which are used for backache but none can be recommended without details of the case. Please post more information. How and when did it start, in which posture, time of the day or weather do you feel better or worse?

HI,
the best treatment and cure for this condition is constitutional treatment. ACute pain remedies as you've mentioned above are only palliative for the short term. There are a few good homeoapths in PA. Tell me by PM (if you like) where you live and I"ll reccomend someone reliable. IF that does notw ork out, try a good homeopath online or through phone consults. All the best, dr. leela
