Your friend probably used a "tissue or cell salt " form of silicea. They are reletively safe to use because 6x is such a low dilution. Never the less silicea is generally considered a deep acting remedy and therefore probably shouldnt be given indiscriminately-but then no remedy really should be. Silicea has a broad range of application for both acute and chronic states. There are alot of good books around that teach basic prescribing methods and working with tissue salts serves as a good intro to homeopathy. MH |
