Default 100c

A homeopath made me aware that 100C remedies are never used. I hadn't noticed, but it seems to be correct. Apart from an occasional 60C, no prescriptions seem to be used between 30C and 200C. Can anybody explain the reason for this?

Hans

I can't explain why it's not common. I use 100C and so do many homeopaths I know.

I see, thank you. In order to check this information, I perused a collection of online case accounts and then verified that Boiron doesn't seem to stock 100C, at least not on the more common remedies, but that could of course be the simple explanation for the less than wide-spread use.

But, thank you again for your answer.

Dear MRC

The answer is:

--that most american Homeopaths adopted Kents sugestion of stepping up the C-potencies in that way. There seems to be a close resemblence with Swedenbourgs accords, the man of whom kent got a lot of his philosphy.

The potencies can be grouped into very low, low and high and very high (extreme high) potencies. We find the words "Low" and "high" potencies in homeopathic literature. Generely homeopaths are agreed, 30c is low potency and 200c is high potency. 100c is not low and not high. So this is confusing. After getting this info, pharmacies itself designed a protocol of manufacturing low and high and very high potencies and left 100c being the reason it may not have good marketing value. Obviously, when 100c potencies will not available in the market then who will use them?

Few homeopaths have 50c to 100c potencies of very few remedies but these are self prepared remedies. If a potency is very common in use in your hand, sometime you increase the potency till you get 100c etc.

I do not find any special reason of not using 100c remedies except due to the fact that old homeopaths have not mentioned about these potencies. They just used the word low and high potencies. Hence pharmacies are only manufacturing low and high potencies. A moderate 100c potency is not available.

100c potencies have the same result.
