Arrow Sabina 30C dose for very heavy periods

Hi,

I'm new here, but not new to natural medicine.

I am trying to slow the flow of my very, very heavy periods, and see Sabina as a possible remedy. I have read conflicting dosing, some say before periods, during, etc. When and what dose is the best?

I have become very anemic because of this problem and I would like to try anything at this point!

Please let me know your suggestions, how often to take it? daily basis? before or during period? how many pellets as a dose?

thank you, our family has found wonderful help from not only homeopathic remedies but herbal medicine too! we use natural medicine and alternative medicine as our healthcare!

thank you in advance,

Lynn in Illinois

there are many possible remedies for anemia from menses. did you see something about sabina that fits other then the heavy flow? do you also have nose bleeds? are you very exhausted from this? how else does this affect you?
as far as dosing goes, if it is the right remedy, it wont matter so much when you take it. if you are going with a 30 c i would only do it once and wait and see if you have any change over the next month or two. depending on the brand and size of pellets, a dose is usually about 3-5 bee-bee size pellets.

Ipecac 10m -- 3 doses at 24 hr intervals , on going to bed. STOP and see what happens over next 10 days .

Smile trying Sabina

Hi, and thank you for your replies here!

In answer to loquacious: I have done a search for my symptoms and Sabina comes up, my holistic m.d. suggested it from looking in her reference books, and our health fd store personnel also suggested it as one of the best choices to try.
I do not have nosebleeds.. YES, I am VERY exhausted with each period every month.. I am sleeping alot, cannot wake up well, even before the heavy flow starts which is day #2-#3, then it stops almost completely with a little spotting a few days later. Exhausted is one of the major complaints with this! I also feel weak walking around, feel better lying down, sitting takes alot of energy for me. I also feel very warm this time around. I need it very cool in my bedroom. I am 45 yrs old.

I do take other supplements, B12, an herbal complex my holistic doctor designed to help slow the flow, but my body seems to have reached a point it needs much more of this to work and it's a struggle in progress!
This flow problem has caused severe anemia for me, my last iron count was a 16, doctor wants it at 80 to be "good" range.
I am also lightheaded, very bloated, cannot eat alot or I seem to have pain so I eat lightly, drink lots of purified water.
I have taken the Sabina today 3x, I take about 6 tiny pellets, it seems to slow it for about 4hrs then it comes back heavy again so I dose again, so I'm trying it to see?
I have read we can take homeopathic remedies until it works, is this correct? then stop.
the anemia cannot improve until I get my period flow under control. it doesn't have a chance to catch up!
does this give you enough information to give further advice?
**oh, and this month, I noticed I was very, very lightheaded and weak 3 days before it started.

thanks again.. any suggestions would be appreciated.. can you recommend anything for the anemia itself in homeopathic remedies?
I am taking iron supp from my holistic doctor, it is the only one I can tolerate, so I try to take 50mgs twice a day at least, but sometimes cannot take this much, I am also on Armour thyroid with Levoxyl, so have to space the iron supplementation.

Default in reply to Passkey

Hi,

Can you tell me about Ipecac and what it is used for? Is it the same thing as the syrup of Ipecac usage for detoxifying the stomach when someone eats something unhealthy/dangerous? how will this help my heavy period flow?

Also, I do not see the strength you mentioned, 10m? I see C, and X instead.

thanks,

Lynn

Default Ipecac syrup

has nothing to do with the homeopathic remedy Ipecac.
10m is a high potency and can be obtained from a number of suppliers.

Question my question was about the remedy

Hi,

I know the strength of 10m doesn't have anything to do with the Ipecac itself, I was asking how this will help my heavy periods? and how is the m strength compared to the C and X I see in health fd stores?

Is M weaker or stronger solution?

thanks,
Lynn

Hi

10m is a very strong remedy. it means it has been diluted and succussed 10,000 times. the more it is diluted and succussed the stronger it gets. I personally would never recommend a 10M to anyone I was not treating in my office. in the last 13 years, I have only given a 10 m 3 times. Maybe it is my training, but recommending a 10m without taking the case and monitering the patient seems a bit risky.

a c potency is diluted by 100. so a 6c has been diluted 6 times. using one drop of mother tincture to 99 drops of alcohol, succussing means shaking it up or pounding it on something, this is now a a 1c. then you take one drop of the 1 c, and dilute it with 99 drops of alcohol, succuss, now you have a 2c. you keep doing this until you reach the desired potency.

an x potency is diluted by 10 instead of 100. dilute using the same method.

Default potency

one more thing, you will probably never find a 10m in a health food or grocery store. because it is a very high potency, some homeo pharmacys and suppliers will only sell it with a prescription from a homeopath.

Most health food stores sell potencys no higher then 30c or 30x. sometimes they will have 200c or 1m behind the counter that you have to ask for.

6c - 12c is considered low potency, 30c is medium, 200c - 1m high, 10m and up are very high.

30c is usually recommended for home/self prescribing.
