Question Stomach Acidity caused by taking remedies?

Hi I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice to help me treat a patient of mine. I have been treating this patient for approximately 1 year. He is in his 70's and his presenting complaints were ME type symptoms that responded well to remedies. About 6 months into his treatment he saw his GP about a urinary difficulty, the GP referred him for tests and he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. His PSA level is low and he is not receiving allopathic treatment for it.

His remedies were originally Phos-Ac 9X 3 times daily - his ME symptoms responded well to this but then he found that after taking the remedy he would get heartburn type burning in his stomach, we reduced this to 2 a day but the same thing happened.
We then transfered to Sulphur LM1 5 bangs and 5 drops in water once daily - his "constitutional remedy". This worked well for his ME symptoms (he gained more energy - mentally, emotionally and physically and started doing activities he previously enjoyed). The 5 bangs and drops gave him the stomach acidity again, he managed ok when we reduced to 2 bangs and drops.

He was doing well with the Sulph when he got his diagnosis of prostate cancer. He wanted to use homeopathy to reduce the chance of it growing/spreading so I stopped the Sulphur and started him on Schirrhinum 200C 5 drops in water once daily for one week, then Lyc 200C 5 drops in water daily for the next week and then alternated the remedies weekly - this caused stomach acidity. His ME symptoms also increased at this time, although his PSA level dropped. He was also taking Sabal 3X 3 times daily.

After this he wanted not to treat the prostate symptoms with homeopathy, he wanted help with his ME symptoms so I transferred him back to Sulphur LM1 (fresh bottle) but 1 bang and drop in water once daily because his acidity was quite intense. The Sulph also caused stomach acidity again and his ME symptoms remained unchanged (they were worse than at their best with the homeopathy but not as bad as before he started having treatment - if you see what I mean!).

Because of this, after consulting with colleagues I decided a change of approach was needed and prescribed Carc LM3 2 bangs and 2 drops in water once daily (Carc is his miasm!) - this is also causing acidity. I need to speak to this patient tomorrow as he did not say if his other symptoms are better, but he says if we cannot find remedies that do not cause him stomach acidity then he wants to stop the treatment - and he was doing so well!!

He does not normally get burning pains/acidity in his stomach - only after taking remedies, so it is not a return of old symptoms/aggravation of current symptoms and it seems to be happening with every remedy he takes!

I have thought about giving the patient just one dose instead of daily doses. However because he is so sensitive to remedies I thought that the higher potency needed (because he has many mental/emotional features that have contributed to his ME) would caused a more intense aggravation, therefore I have followed the LM approach. He is also taking allopathic anti-depressants on a daily basis so I gave daily doses to enable the homeopathic remedies to have the best chance to take effect. (He did come off the anti-depressants during homeopathic treatment but after his cancer diagnosis he decided to return to taking them to reduce his anxiety levels).

Does anyone have any thoughts on this case? I would like to find a remedy/remedies that will relieve his ME symptoms and improve his vitality without causing his stomach to aggravate.

Has anyone else had other patients who have had similar trouble? If so, how did you rectify the problem?

Any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Dear kara
Instead of oral homeopathics try giving him nasal o0r just holding the remedy in his left hand,or using his hair (root dipped in remedy) Hairtransmission of homeopathics.

Have you done the placebo pill experiment on him? Maybe its a mind thing with him,see if the placebo 'pill' still gets the same results regards his heartburn.

Another aspect is there might be something wrong with his heart, thus this feeling he needs an EKG done just to make sure.Or do muscle kinetic testing on him for this weak area.

Yes.Olfaction works. I experimented with it a lot, and can vouch for it.
