C. a boy of almost 5 years of age suffers from constipation. This constipation is accompanied by small bits of stool escaping from time to time. He has no control over these escapes, so he has to wear nappies. According to the parents, the boy is afraid to go to the loo because of the pain now involved when evacuating. He has a crack in the skin around the anus, and the stool is very hard and big. According to the parents, he is holding onto the faeces. He gets cranky , when constipated. Currently has to use laxatives to evacuate. This problem goes on for at least 2 years. Different doctors and specialists were consulted and different medications and laxatives tried without the desired result. The child was brought to the psychologist and herbalist without any positive result There is a touch of asthma, but not noticeable at the moment. I observed, that the child is anxious and restless and reacts with anger and stubbornness when asked by his parents. Rx.: Lyc Q 1 (2,1/3) Follow-up: 09-04-05 Parents report no progress. He holds onto the stool for days. He sits on the toilet, but nothing comes out. He is happy when empty, and was a cross child. The appetite is good. Thirst: rather thirstless. The faeces still escape unnoticed. He is otherwise very active. He had a bad cough for a few days with a bit of a wheeze, which went under Lyc. I observed, that the child was less erratic now but really malicious. Rx..: Nat-m Q 1 (2,1/3) Follow-up: 07-05-05 The stools are smaller. There is less pain when evacuating. Still has to resort to laxatives to empty out. Stool still escapes at times. The moods have cooled down. No coughs / wheeze. Rx.: Nat-m Q 2 (2,1/3) Follow-up: 10-06-05 First stool in the toilet two weeks ago without laxatives. Stool rarely escapes by itself. Moods good. Appetite good. No pain with evacuations. Rx.: Nat-m Q 3 (2, 1/3) Follow-up: 18-07-05 (phone) Goes to the toilet daily without reminders. Constipation gone completely. No more stool escapes. Moods good. No sign of asthma. Parents delighted. Case closed.
