hi

for the past few days i have been havning these really bad pains in the upper right quadrant of my abdomen its right near my ribcage and it radiates towards my back. i also have a low grade fever and feel nautious. does anyone know what this could be?

There are many reasons. Gall bladder is one of them. There may be simple pain(Cholicystitis) or stones. The pain of this usually radiates to scapular region in back or to right shoulder.Usually the pain of above may cause after fatty food. Liver, lower part of rt.lung etc are there. i have a family history of gallbladder problems my mom grandmother and sisters all had there gallbladders removed, i have an appt with my dr on thursday
