My 21 yo son's eardrum ruptured on an airline flight today. I've just spoken with him on the phone as he was about to board a connecting flight, so I don't have a lot of details. He said that it bled and was extremely painful. He also said that he cannot hear out of that ear now. Is there a remedy that you would recommend I give him once he arrives?
Thanks! Lynn |

Hi Lynn,
the remedy wuold be an injury remedy first, unless there was a reason why this happened to him. Eg: if he has middle ear infection or a blocked eustacian tube (due to infection), that has to be treated as part of the problem. If this is an acute condition, I'd suggest hypericum and calendula for pain and healing. But check out if there are any clear modalities for apin that indicate anything different before you give them. Hope this helps, dr. leela
