Dear Pannakal,

It is because I am only too aware of my own limitations that I appealed to the other more experienced members of this forum for help to solve my first case of Kidney Stones.

The problem that we have here in Sri Lanka is that there are over 100 practicing homeopaths who do not have any formal qualifications like you have in India as there is no University to grant a diploma. 99% of the homeopaths here who practice for a fee, which in some cases is very high, do so on a hit or miss basis and do not have the experience and exposure that I have had for the last 25 years in using Homeopathic remedies to help alleviate the pain of suffering humanity, which as I stated before I do completely free of charge. In most cases these homeopaths do not have the advantage of having the selection of remedies that I have in my own stock which I have collected over the years of about 450 remedies. There is also no one person here whom I can refer my patient to, who is an experienced qualified homeopath.

In my own way I have had some success in the treatment of those who come to me for help and all of my patients keep on spreading the word that I have what they call the 'magic touch' to cure their ailments. I have successfully handled many chronic cases that were given up as impossible to be cured by allopathic and ayurvedic physicians and later by homeopaths and it is not that I am not knowledgeable to practice Homeopathy which even a world renowned Homeopath Dr Luc de Schepper whom I hosted recently, accepted was remarkable given that I am 75 years old and that I did not have the benefit of a formal Diploma qualification in Homeopathy. My investment in Radar 9 recently is of great assistance to help me identify the ailment more positively and to suggest the remedy. I would not have got this software except for the fact that Luc himself used it and recommended it to me.

It in only when I am in an area like a Kidney Stone that I am not sure as to what to do next as there are so many suggestions of remedies, some that you have indicated, all of which leave me back in Square One.

The problem that I have is that the patient who is now in remission from pain will be compelled to have the stones surgically removed and it is just my desire to help him to avoid this inevitable surgery that impells me to follow any leads from those who have treated a similar problem that can help to dissolve the stones. It is not that I am a case of the blind leading the blind and I do hope that I can help this man soon with some remedy that will dissolve the stones, which I feel are too large to descend down his Ureter.

Regards

Dr. Pannakkal,

What about Nat.sulph, Calc.Phos, Mag. phos & Silicea? Are these not related to kidney stones?

Furthur, what about different type of stones & controlling of acidity & alkalinity of urine for dissolving the stones as per the stone type in consideration of my previous posting;

Quote:
Your provider may want to modify your urine pH to help prevent kidney stones. Acidic urine is associated with xanthine, cystine, uric acid, and calcium oxalate stones. Alkaline urine is associated with calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, and magnesium phosphate stones...

A diet high in citrus fruits, vegetables, or dairy products can increase your urine pH. Some drugs also can increase urine pH, including acetazolamide, potassium citrate, and sodium bicarbonate.
A diet high in meat products or cranberries can decrease your urine pH. Drugs that can decrease urine pH include ammonium chloride, chlorothiazide diuretics, and methenamine mandelate.

Best regards.

Default Urine Analysis

Dear Kayveeh,

Thank you for your helpful response to my query about how I should set about trying to dissolve the stones. As I see it, this seems to be the patient's only choice other than surgery and I presume that an analysis of his urine can give the clue as to what remedy may be used to dissolve the stones.

As I stated in my many posts on this thread, I have never treated a similar case before and I am trying my best to ensure that the patient whom I have know for many years and who has placed his complete trust in me, is given the benefit of the best treatment that I can muster in Homeopathy with the assistance of members of this Forum like you.

I shall request the patient to have an analysis of his urine done and shall contact you again in a few days after he provides me with the information.

Thank you for your positive approach to Homeopathy in the treatment of these Renal Calculi.

Dear Joe,

As you know that the quality/problem of treating a case homeopathically is that, full case history & personal examination is needed to prescribe any remedy by a trained & qualified homeopath. You can get some indications of internet, forum & referances, but still a trained & qualified homeopath is needed to prescribe esp. in chronic/serious problems. However if you are sure of handling this case with some indications (not prescriptions), you can take your decision accordingly. The final prescription will has to be decided by you. If you are not confident about yourself & on any other homeopath in your area, you may then otherwise have to suggest the patient to consult other system. pH of urine is constantly changing--so it may be indicative not conclusive.

You may refer following link for more information or can also contact some senier homeopath who are offering internet prescribing. I think Dr.leela, Dr. Manish Bhatia...can be the good choice.

Dear Mr Joe,

You are very respectable senior person and you are in the field of homoeopathy for many years. Nothing special in the treatment of kidney stones. The plan of treatment of kidney stones and other diseases are same.
Only that during acute state you have to manage them with our medicines.

Dear Keyvee,

As above stated, Iam simply selecting medicine according to the symptom similiarity. I don't know about your method. Up to this time I didn't get the chance to use the medicines you wrote for stones

Dear Kayveeh,

The link you indicated: http://www.delhihomeo.com/clinical_stone.htm
was the answer to my quest for remedies. I do not have the Berberis V Q although I have the 6, 30 and 1M but these may not be effective. I have ordered the Q and hope to have it in a couple of weeks.

As I stated earlier, the patient will be compelled to have surgery unless I can help him to dislodge the stones. If I fail, and he has a renal colic, the stones will have to be surgically extracted. It is the number of stones, over 8, that is of concern to me and how they can all be safely passed.

Thank you so very much for your positive attitude and help which is what those of us who post on a forum such as this should adopt.

Joe

Keyveeh,

Iam not using tissue remedies in biochemic sense, but many of them are using in potencies by homoeopathic indication. Two days before I managed a right renal colic with sarasaparilla30. He came with severe pain in rt. renal region extending downwards and difficult urination. Sarasaparilla is also a remedy for hot weather though aggravation from dampness are there. BY fourth dose the pain is gone. So nature of pain, location, weather etc etc will help us to find similimum. Location wise(rt) we can think about oscimum c or,Lyco or even lach!. There are lot of medicines, which when we prescribed on the basis of similiarity brings immdiate effect. And some remedies like bruc, Osc sant cure the pain with vague symptoms.

regds,

Default Asthma in an 18 month old baby

Dear Kayveeh,

Thank you so much for the interest you are taking on my case of Kidney Stones. The links that you suggested are also of interest and I shall print them out and pass them on to my patient.

I would like to have your advice on a case that I am treating on the ABChomeopathy forum. The link is below:

http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/26981/

Here the father of the 18 month old child seems to have been helped with his throat problem and I have prescribed a method I picked up from Dr Luc de Schepper in the cure of Asthma in adults which I have been bold enough to suggest for his baby.

I would appreciate your comments on the prescription I have indicated for the baby please. I feel that if I succeed in helping this child, it would be a break through in the treatment of asthma in children who usually are condemned to suffer throughout their lives with steroids and other poisonous substances which maim them for life and make their condition infinitely worse.

Joe
