She loathes the smell of asparagus, as well as that of seaweed.

Any ideas?

Default Over reaction.

This is simply a case of oversensitivity.
It can happen with smell. sight - sunglasses in dim weather- or taste - water tastes bitter is a sign for a remedy.

WE are dealing with what is essentially an alergic reaction.

This will be due to some medical treatment or emotional trauma suffered in the period up to 6 months prior to it emerging. [can be up to 2yrs]

If it was medication then some condition was "" cured"" by allopathic drugs .

This had the effect of driving the symptom deep into the body. The body figures out how to deal with the problem and --- asparagus/seaweed smells terrible -- needs sunglasses indoors-- gets hay fever-- eczema -- itches all over-- cant stand noise-- etc ,etc ad lib.

It's the strange sour smell they have, it makes her want to throw up.

She also has a dislike for the smell of raw fish and hardboiled eggs, but
that is just a dslike.

Perhaps she is just sensitive to smells.

Yes Sensitivity to Odours would be a good rubric to use.
i've seen those sensitive to chemical odours require a chemical. salt or mineral remedy.

those sensitive to plants and flower odours usually require a plant remedy.
But there's no hard and fast rule.
hope this helps.
