Default Dizziness after chemotherapy

Does anyone have a specific Rx for post-chemo dizziness (can happen in any position, head is spinning, has to sit down and close her eyes to make it >)? No nausea, however. Concomitant Sx is extreme exhaustion. Last time had some diarrhea with mild cramping. No significant M/E Sx. I'm thinking of palliation at this point. Gels maybe?

Thanks a lot

There is no specific. We can treat according to the symptoms.
Gels,conium,Nux,chin-sul,cocculus, etc are some important remedies and you can select according to te symptoms.

The problem with this case is that I can't get any other symptoms from the patient to point me to a remedy. It's just "my head is spinning" and "I'm absolutely exhausted". I hoped someone had a similar situation with patients going thru a chemo.

Default How effective is chemotheapy???

Where I live there are an increasing number of people who -- having had radiation treatment -- now refuse chemotherapy .

Having taken careful note of the many friends they HAD , who are no longer with them .

Having said that the best one can offer is Nat mur at say 10m . This is one of the best general antidotes to unpleasant chemicals!.

All the malignant diseases show with an oligo-symptomatic portrait. It is the typical "deleterious" disease described for many advanced-stage chronic illness by all the classics, in which the reactive capacity of the organism is not only seriously impaired, but also suppressed because otherwise it'd trigger catastrophic reactions.

Kent&others have insisted that the physician should be very inquisitive and subtle about building a picture of the whole life of the patient and it is of great use to have a wholesome interrogatory of both the parents if possible.

Only based on such information one can hope to discover the serie of remedies which have marked the evolution into malignancy of the chronic condition of the patient's early days.

About chemo reactions : do you happen to know what was the scheme exactly, as many drugs can have more likely one antidote than other. Also, what was the malignancy and what locations did it occurr into ?

Default Dizziness after Herceptin (Trastuzumab)

I got more information on dizziness: the room blacks out and she sees bright dots (like tiny stars) with a sensation she's going to fall sideways. Lying down >>. The chemo drug she is on is Herceptin (AKA Trastuzumab).

Has anyone out there had a PT on Herceptin with similar reaction? This is what I'm asking. And if so, what remedies have you found to work?

And I'd like to emphasize again that I treat my PT's reaction to a chemo treatment as an acute condition. So please don't waste your time giving me a diatribe on constitutional prescribing. My patient decided to have chemotherapy and I respect her decision. I'm here to help her go thru this as painlessly as possible.

Thanks a lot

Did she receive Paclitaxel or other taxols ? The combination is usual, and the taxols are usually more prone to cause the said side-effects. If so, one should remember that taxols result form a relative of Taxus and we can search through the antidotes of the Taxus, Thuja and other toxic related plants. Cocculus (seemingly) fits many of the characteristics. Staphysagria antidotes Taxus poisoning. Nitric acid can relieve vascular symptoms after chemical aggression affecting the blood pressure dynamics.
