Default Use of Boennignhausen repertory in acute prescribing

I recently listened to a talk given Karl Robinson MD on the use of the Boenninghausen Repertory. He gave a couple of chronic case examples that were successfully prescribed based on a Boenninghausen repertorization.

The thought came to mind that the Boenninghausen method of repertorization may be very successfully applied to domestic acute prescribing. I then went on to read an article by Will Taylor MD also on the Boenninghausen Repertory. In passing, he wrote that acute prescribing could benefit greatly from the use of the Boenninghausen Repertory.

I wonder if any members of this forum have had any experience with the Boenninghausen Repertory for domestic acute prescribing, and whether they would recommend this repertory for the home prescriber?

passkey has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Default home work

Whenever I suggest a book for home prescribing it has always been Dr. J.H. Clarke's book " The Prescriber" .
It is easy to use and many of my ex patients have aquired it.

Clarke's "The Prescriber" is one of a number of reference books I use. The problem however, is that one must begin with a disease state e.g. common cold, inluenza, backache, headache etc., before one can search for a remedy.

The best reference I have found for acute home prescribing is Miranda Castro's "Complete Homeopathy Handbook". It is arranged in the form of a Materia Medica and Repertory. It however lacks the depth that I am looking for most of the time, and the number of remedies covered is somewhat limited.

Most of the time in acute prescribing I have a few remedies in mind, but I want to eliminate and select the most similar, based on certain rubrics. Hence I feel that Boenninghausen's Repertory may be the best for this, as Will Taylor has suggested.

I was just reading Boenninghausen, the section on duration of action of remedies. In the hints afterward, it talks about the nature and duration of the aggravation determining the curability of the case. What does it mean when it says "incurable"? Does that mean incurable by that particular remedy, or completely incurable homeopathically, or incurable by any means whatsoever? This really worries me because if what he says is true, my baby may fall into the incurable category.

i am using the Boenninghausen TT 1846 since 1992 with the best of results.
I particularily value its flexibility and accuracy, not being matched by any newer repertory.
