Default Geographic Tongue

When I eat fresh pineapple, strawberries, and sometimes honeydew, my tongue gets white spots/rings on it around the edges. I googled this and it sounds like "geographic tongue". My tongue will have a sensation that is slightly scratchy/tingly/achy. If I don't eat those things, I still occasionally see these rings, but no discomfort.

Thoughts?

Thanks but that's not particularly helpful.

Hi Curly

I really mean it.I had real geographic tongue (looks like a map), since I remember, and it won't hurt you.

I should have explained this, earlier itself.

You don't have to worry about ALL symptoms, while thinking of homeopathy. What is important is the 'changed' symptoms since onset of the problem.

I think differently from Murthy.

Geographic tongue is the keynote of a remedy, so its not insignificant.

Evaluate your symptoms keeping this in view in relation to the complaints i.e. chronic or acute.

I feel keynote symptoms are to be used ,only as a confirmation of the remedy. in case, the reperterisation, without considering it, has brought out 2 or 3 medicines, which are quite close, then you can try the one with the keynote symptom first.

For example you have to choose between Ars.alb, Nat.mur, then the geographic tongue may tilt the favour towards Nat.mur.

But, if you start with geographic tongue as the primary symtom, it will mislead you.

This is what I understood from the writings of Kent,Tyler,Vithoulkus etc.

What I meant was that don't ignore geographic tongue and continue with your life as such, take notice of this symptom
